A selection of wips from the past few weeks

7 months of knitting, crochet, weaving, and an odd bit of chainmail later and it's finally done. I'd estimate it weighs about 5kg which isn't too bad considering the amount of wool used.

Each piece of wool or other material in the coat either came from my own pre-existing stash or was given to me by someone else so I haven't spent any money specifically on this project.

One of my goals with this whole costume is to not spend any money on it and to use things I already have. I had to get creative with my materials I used packaging string for some of the sections and some sections are made from short offcuts tied together.

I think one of my favourite features is a semi hidden pocket towards the bottom of the coat. I'm not sure how functional it'll be but I like it anyway.

Next up is the trousers and the shirt which I'm making from fabric scraps from other projects.

Hopefully it won't take another seven months!

Okay I like it better now that I've topstitched it and added a fastening. I'm still not convinced it suits my character but the colour scheme is right and it's fleece lined so I can't complain too much.

I don't know if I like this one or not. I'll probably be making some modifications to it once I've slept on it. I'm probably going to topstitch the whole thing, the understitching it has now isn't doing what I want, I think it will look better with cleaner lines.
