For me I like that we're getting a closer look into how demons use their bloodline abilities (Shakky, Rock, Amerie) but, I also feel like I'm reading filler on top of filler :( lowkey hoping it's the calm before the storm lol
Not telling children of abusers that their parent is an abuser actually does not protect the child. I’m not saying read the court transcripts to your child but a simple “Daddy is in prison for hurting children.” or “Daddy hurt mommy very badly.” is much better than lionizing an abuser or saying nothing, allowing your child to create a false image of their parent that will be heinously shattered when they realize the truth. I understand that sometimes fear of parental alienation claims hold a parent’s tongue but children should be told when a family member is not a safe person.

My thoughts on chapter 412 under the cut because I for one didn't like this chapter :/
I like that Iruma might finally leave the whole "can't say 'No' to someone saying 'Please'" thing behind, I also liked that he's starting to realize things that happened to him when he was in the human world were not okay.
As for why I didn't like the chapter, I must admit it's my own fault lol I had built expectations from this panel
I found the pacing to be Not Great in my opinion :( and I didn't like that Ameri's scala always came back to being about Iruma. This is her moment. I wish the series would take her more seriously as a character with motivations other than having a crush on Iruma but whatever lol

I thought Iruma would come to terms with his fury/anger on his own. I think he deserves to process his feelings on his own too, the manga often has other people rescue him from his dark thoughts and advise him or nudge him in the direction of acknowledging how he feels, which I also appreciate, because this boy has lived his whole short life in extreme survival mode and he deserves support, I'm glad that he's not alone now!!!
Iruma is such a good guy but he's got issues. Seeing him rely on people telling him it's okay to feel a certain way over and over makes me feel like the progress he's making is good, but that he genuinely needs help outside those big explosive moments where his wellbeing (and of others around him) is at stake and he absolutely needs to let his emotions out.
I wish Iruma could get help in a calm environment so he can actually learn how to deal with his feelings, and these lessons should come not just when he's about to die or something big is happening. Yes I'm aware this is a shonen manga and they're not gonna make a hundred and seventy million chapters dedicated to Iruma going to therapy.
TLDR; I find Shaky really cool but I kind of wish she hadn't said anything to Iruma right now. Maybe after the fact yeah but yeah.

Rants unrelated to the chapter:
He does not know how to be alone in a healthy way, and that's also an important part of relationships, to be your own person even if you're also a friend, a spouse, a brother, a mother, you're also your own person with your own thoughts and feelings.
Also, has anyone else noticed Iruma often plays dumb to not acknowledge certain situations he's uncomfortable with/not ready for lol??? It took me a minute because sometimes he's so genuinely oblivious!

The thing with using 🍇 instead of just saying rape is that if you really need to avoid censors you could use phrases that already exist like forced upon or violated or something else. 🍇 is genuinely the worse possible thing to use when talking about a serious topic and no I never want to see anyone use it when talking about something that happens in real life. It’s genuinely so stupid
Same with using "PDF" or "PDF file" instead of pedophile.
Say "child predator" or the sort. But stop using these stupid ass code words. It's insane that sites try to censor the legitimate terms of pedophilia and rape to begin with, that's unforgivable, but the least we can do is use, instead, legitimate terms that still carry the same meaning instead of something that just sounds similar to hide the truth of what you actually intend to express.
