It lowkey kind of sucks when a band’s most popular songs are really really good. Like trust me I WANT to be (more) pretentious about The Mountain Goats I WANT to be too smart to enjoy the two songs everyone knows but unfortunately for me This Year and No Children simply fuck too severely. I can’t even pretend they’re not some of the best songs ever written.
