Soriku Endgame will most likely not be a kiss, I don't think any of the Disney couples have ever kissed to begin with. (I could be totally wrong but I don't remember ever seeing a kiss anywhere).

Unless they introduce kissing via the Disney couples, I don't think a Soriku kiss is on the table. I think Soriku endgame would mirror how the Disney couples currently are: an embrace (DDD), looking into each others eyes knowingly, and especially hand holding.

Hand holding alone is considered a romantic gesture in Japan, Sora taking Riku's hand and interlocking his fingers (known in Japan as koibito-tsunagi) would be all we need to know they're canon. Sora's already held Kairi and Riku's hands many times, but never has he interlocked his fingers with either.

If he interlocks his fingers with Riku when he finally takes his hand out in the ocean, it's endgame.

I completely agree that I don’t think that soriku will kiss and instead will possibly have a very intimate interlocking of fingers. But I do have to bring up that KH did have Disney couples kiss on screen in KH

For this picture specifically I was not drawing from real people. I used the MoM Kairi model for reference and then had an influence of 90s boy aesthetics for the hair and clothing. I thought it would be interesting to give Gender swap Kairi a 90s boy curtain bangs and a letterman jacket (I watched hocus pocus that day and it was on my mind)

I am extremely transparent about my references I use and my process work. It’s buried in my twitter but here’s some screenshots of my process. For how I render people, I will hopefully someday have the time to upload a process video to YouTube for people that are curious.
