hello! I'm a relatively new BANA and recently I've seen a few people saying that it would take Gongchan a lot to forgive Jinyoung and Baro or things along those lines, what is the reason for this? Is Gongchan known to hold grudges? Thanks for your help!

Hi~!

I wouldn’t say he’s one to hold a grudge per se, but it’s been pretty well shown over the years that he is the most sensitive of the group, and takes things to heart. He is a pretty introverted person, who despite appearing as this handsome, goofy, funny, clever and sassy maknae, can actually be quite insecure and unsure of himself. The closest people in his life are his members, and that’s obvious in how comfortable he becomes around them, not to mention just how physically close he is with CNU and Sandeul.

Well, basically this was also the case with Jinyoung and Baro too (though I’d argue definitely more so with Jinyoung), so having these people leave the group the way they did, seemingly breaking that bond that Gongchan probably thought was so strong and close, I think did a number on him emotionally and mentally. 

It’s telling that he’s hasn’t even spoken about it-- we’ve had Sandeul and CNU both at least comment on their hurt, their feelings. But Gongchan has been silent. Instead, it’s his actions that become all the more apparent. Him breaking down during their first fanmeet as three, him clearing out his instagram and unfollowing everyone... he just has a real hurt there that likely won’t go away anytime soon. 

Compared to Sandeul, who is a much more easy-going person by nature, and forgives a lot easier, Gongchan is definitely on the opposite end of that spectrum. I’m not one that’s really into astrology lol but he is a Leo like me, and one trait we do have in common is being fiercely loyal to the people we are close to; and if someone breaks that trust, it really becomes an uphill battle to forgive and build it back up again. So I think that’s where his pain really lies.

In order to depict such purity and love in a m/f relationship, one must first set the foundation that these people are odd and not the norm. (per media standards)

They cared about their children, their children’s interests, and wanted the kids to always be true to themselves. How peculiar!

Gomez and Morticia never showed negative jealousy towards each other’s past love interests. Even going to far as complimenting them for being special to their true love.  How bizarre!

They could forgive almost any character flaw in a friend or relative. The only thing that could not be forgiven was betrayals and pastels. Weird amirite?

Morticia is a woman’s woman. She allies herself with other women instead of competing with them. She even seeks to understand women different from herself and her beliefs. Strange.

Gomez wants Morticia to have whatever Morticia wants. He doesn’t give her permission, he actively supports her and motivates her. Fa-reaky.

so here’s a quick story

to help with decision making when going on a date, my bf and i created a list of 20 restaurants we like. 1 being ihop (as a joke, neither of us actually like ihop), 20 being our favorite steakhouse, with the rest in no particular order. we roll a d20 and go to the corresponding place
