Silence extended over the abandoned building, comfortable for those present, though surely eery to any outsider. Even with less than half of their members gathered, the sheer presence and aura of the infamous Phantom Troupe could be overwhelming. Only a few of them were assembled in the meeting site, but slowly they trickled in, greeting each other with everything between casual banter, little jabs, and laidback warmth. All the while, their leader sat quietly, flipping through his book, shadowed under the clouds and overhang of the building. By the time the last few members arrived, the wait rested solely on the final member - Hisoka Marow.
A few glib remarks were tossed about before Hisoka arrived, Serenity in tow, and the Spiders oblivious to her presence. All but one, anyway. Chrollo Lucilfer was the respected leader of the Spiders for a reason, and sensing Serenity and seeing through her Nen ability was testament to that. However, he only briefly paused in flipping the pages of his book, showing no physical or discernible reaction. Glancing up, he caught her for a second, to the right of Hisoka as he made his entrance and announced himself.
'This could prove amusing.' It would be worthwhile to see who among the Spiders could also detect Serenity, if at all. In his own mind, he conceded that her skill was impressive. She entered with Hisoka, and he was sure the magician was aware of her, all the more reason to acknowledge her ability and its potential. More importantly, if she could deceive his Spiders, then she had every right to be there among them. Thus far though, no one made any mention of the young lady, and with Shalnark calling out to Chrollo, it was an appropriate time to respond to the rest of the Troupe and get things underway.
Standing to his full height, Chrollo smiled out at them, his lips curved in his usual calm, collected way. They were all eager to hear what the target of their sights would be for their next mission, and Chrollo had large plans for them. Addressing them all smoothly, he voiced his intention to steal everything present at the auction, drawing shock and excitement across the Troupe. With the news settling in and the opportunity presenting itself, Chrollo began rolling out the idea, his orders as definite and of the highest priority as ever. Those assigned to the auction house set out, leaving only six behind including Chrollo.
He kept his cool the whole way through, resolved with the knowledge that no one else had noticed Serenity. Again, he could catch a small glimpse of her, and was gaining an understanding of a pattern. It could have been something to be disappointed with in the others that they didn't sense her, but Chrollo saw an opening. If this young woman's skill was good enough to work so effectively on the entire Troupe, it could be used against those just as powerful. That made it a very useful skill to have around, and Chrollo rather liked that thought. Looking up from his book that he had returned to after the others left, he allowed a little time for the others to notice Serenity, and without any cues from them, he had his answer. And with fewer of them present, it made it just as good a time as any to act.
Standing once more, Chrollo walked up to Hisoka, holding eye contact with him until he stopped in front of him, just to the side. His right side, as he noted earlier. He hadn't seen Serenity again quite yet, but he noticed her pattern of staying to the right of Hisoka, and guessed her position. Bending forward slightly, Chrollo graced her with his cool smirk, questioning her casually.
Serenity felt as if she was in the clear, nobody acknowledged her nor did they look her way, she must have been able to mask herself from all of them completely. However, the moment the raven-haired man closed his book and stood up, a grin curled up on Hisoka's face.
The red-haired man knew what this meant, little did Serenity know at this moment, the boss did see her. He knew he was good, but this was oh so incredible! Would he kill her? Would he let her live? Hisoka would not interfere with his choice and he already knew what he would say should the boss question him. The grin remained on his face when Chrollo stood before him, his yellow eyes smiling into the grey eyes of the boss. The moment Chrollo turned towards Serenity, he merely chuckled and turned, jumping high up onto the window and pulling out his deck of cards, playing with them as he kept his back against the side of the open window, merely watching below him lazily.
As the Boss stopped by Hisoka and asked his question, the four remaining Spiders raised a brow, watching with curiosity. Who was he talking to? Before long, a short woman appeared before the Boss, the four immediately went on high alert, appearing all around the girl.
erenity had no choice but to reveal herself, somehow, he knew she was there. She was nervous, but she tried to stand strong. If they would attack, she would be ready. Her hand was against her hip, mere inches from the dagger holstered to her belt. Her yellow-green eyes looked up into the man's eyes. The four around her did stand close, but they did nothing. Serenity assumed they would not do anything unless the boss ordered them to. The blonde man's proximity to her was the most daunting of the four, she could feel his blood lust straight into her chest.
"My name is Serenity Weiss, sir, from Meteor City, " she bowed her head as a sign of respect. Despite her current situation, she would not forget her manners. It might have appeared as strange to others, but Serenity always presented herself to new people with courtesy and respect. This warranted an endearing chuckle from Hisoka from up above.
(This wonderful photo was done by Saikako on Fiverr. It was inspired by a role play between a friend and I. Chrollo Lucilfer meets Serenity Weiss for the very first time when she risks herself to test the extent of her Nen ability.)
