THROUGH THE CRAKS . I can no longer close my eyes to what I know is happening in front of me. I cannot wait a single moment longer. It is time to take action with great strength in the heart. Time to let the light shine! . I am reminded of the story behind the yoga pose Visvamitrasana, the ‘flying warrior’, named after an ambitious king who transformed into a great sage. If you take my classes this month, we will be working towards this spirited pose. (The pose above is called Chapasana) . I am reminded today of Lenard Cohen’s song, because it is the same teaching in the Yoga Vasistha text, “One must first see cracks in the ceiling before one can start to see the light shine through it”. . This teaching is the path of jivanmukta, ‘in this world, but not of this world’, liberation of the individual soul. . I look forward to seeing you this month! And sharing with you more about this impactful work and practice. . BTW: I’m not into Super Bowl, so I’ll be teaching class today at the BCSF as usual! . 🌟🙏🌟 (at The Bay Club) https://www.instagram.com/p/B8E_T4Ll6zR/?igshid=1md5p7os4owc4
