Dude
WHY IS NO ONE TALKING ABOUT THE âI LOVE YOUâ??
Owkay I rewatched the fighting scene between Shiro and Keith multiple times, including in different languages. And the thing is, the way Keith says âI love youâ is VERY IMPORTANT.
So in French, Keith says âJe t'aimeâ. In some parts of France you ONLY say this to your significant other. And itâs an absulute no-no to say this to a family member or a friend. Instead youâd say âJe t'aime bienâ.
In German, Keith says âIch liebe dichâ. But in Germany this is ONLY said to your significant other or wife/husband. It means âI love youâ in a sexual way, in a âi want to be with you foreverâ-way. You DO NOT say this to your friend, family or brother/father-figure. âIch habe dich liebâ is what you would say then.
And then ofcourse, you have the Japanese version. If you where to say âi love youâ in japan you would say âDaisukiâ. You would ALWAYS say âDaisukiâ to anything. Friends, family, your lover etc. But you also have âAishiteruâ. âAishiteruâ is RARELY used, even between married couples because itâs the ULTIMATE word to express your TRUEST and DEEPEST love for someone. It is a word bearing so much emotions and love that Japanese people refuse to disrespect it by using it all the time. Ofcourse you would expect then that Keith would have said âDaisukiâ. But he didnât. Keith said âAishiteruâ. Keith. Said. âAishiteruâ. The thing with this is, the Japanese dubbers could have easily turned it into âDaisukiâ. But that didnât happen.
The dubbers could have easily changed the lines to the non-romantic ones. But they didnât. Making the same âmistakeâ thrice is not a coincidence.
season 6 ruined me
i wish i could contribute better and more than this but i just canât guys even this felt too much i am not ready *gross sobbing*
I dream of the day when I wonât have to look at this fucking chartâŠ.
Somnolent Fantasia: The world of getting your kids (and yourself) to sleep
Features: Nightlight Mines: Dwarves excavate night lights of all varieties from the porous rocks of the northern mountains. The porous nature of the rocks allows the lights in the mine to shine out and they create a phenomenon similar to the Aurora Borealis.
Quilted Fields: Stuffed animals live here and grow cozy blankets.
Cribland: There are 3 major features of Cribland. First is the Crib Forest where the trees naturally take the shape of safe sleeping containment units padded with soft (but not too soft) leaves. Second is the Lullaby Clearing with cushions for lounging while listening to the ambient music of the surrounding trees. Third is the Sippy Cup Spring where pure water flows to be used for filling the sippy cups that grow from the trees nearby.
The Pacipellago: These tropical islands are home to flora that grow pacifiers similar to how dates grow on date trees on Earth.
The BoardBook Mountains: The southernmost continent is full of story books of all kinds for relaxing with before bed.
Other features: There are large armchairs that bob in the gentle oceans for lulling you to sleep. The oceans are full of friendly, gently luminous sea life that play soothing white noise.
âBabies only cry if they are hungry, need changing, or need to be picked upâ
Lies
Babies (and small children) also cry for reasons such as:
1. âI am tired and that makes me angryâ
2. âI scared myself with a fartâ
3. âYou are the wrong parentâ
4. âI ran into something with my faceâ
5. âIâm facing the opposite direction then the one I want toâ
6. âI fell asleep in one place and woke up somewhere completely differentâ
7. âI am a very small person in a very big worldâ
8. âI got scared because YOU fartedâ
Babies have more then 3 states of being and sometimes you just have to hold them and bounce them gently while saying solemnly âyes it is very hard to be a babyâ because frankly it is
you have to remember that when youâre that tiny⊠pretty much any bad thing that happens to you is LITERALLY the WORST thing that has ever happened in your life. they have no perspective. everything is awful. help them
#everything is happening for the first time and they cant even google it Â

Comedie Musicale Utena: La Fillette Révolutionnaire
THIS IS IT, PEOPLE <3
This damn thing has been in varying stages of ripping, encoding, uploading, and filtering for about 42 hours. Across an ocean, over two computers, and through like four different programs. From us, to you!
This is the 1997 musical, the same one that has been previously available on Youtube as a transfer of the VHS copies that circulated around the fansub circuit in the early 00âČs. This is ⊠an upgrade, to say the least, ripped from the new Japanese Blu-ray extras disc. I uploaded it at full blast in 1080p, and though it is, of course, a live recording 20 years old, you can now see the sweat on foreheads, and smug Tougaâs smug expressions.
The subtitle track is based on the one previously available on Youtube, however most of the lyrics have been replaced with translations by Verthandi and The Utena Translation Project of the songs as they appear on OST 5. I also changed out several phrases for more familiar translations, and made sure Saionjiâs stupid lovebirds line remained intact. I switched also to honorifics. We all know what they are, donât we? That said, I donât speak Japanese, and would love any feedback on the translation and subtitles. I will absolutely make changes to the subtitle track based on feedback!
Thank you, ALL OF YOU, for donating to get these discs to us, and for egging us on. I was ready to find a horrible VHS transfer on this Blu-ray, and spend the next year begging for forgiveness. I hope this (and the content to come!) earns the faith you put in us. We love this damn show, and the damn awesome fandom weâre part of because of it. <3Â
