this has been bothering me for so long I had to point it out

so i’ve seen ready player one twice, and in my opinion it has the best LGBT representation in a modern movie. obviously love, simon had great representation, but the best ones are the ones that are barely acknowledged. baiscally one of the main charcters, “h”, is a lesbian. and you may not even notice the first time watching the movie. basically it’s revealed that “h” is actually a female late in the movie which was a cool move. but there’s a scene that’s based off of the shining, namely the part with the lady who’s taking a bath. i won’t go further because if you’ve seen the movie then you’ve already connected the dots. but basically, this is the best kind of representation because it simply brushes over it. it doesn’t change how the other people think of her and it doesn’t make the movie any differently than it is. it n o r m a l i z e s it in the best possible way. it’s e x c e l l e n t.
