Update on some stuff :)

Hi everyone! I apologize of my frequent disappearances and lack of Captured Beauty updates. My interests have simply shifted some and I tend to get really distracted!! However, that DOES NOT mean Captured Beauty is discontinued! <3 I'm very loyal to this story and promised myself I would finish it and I will.

I've been getting a lot of questions (rightfully so) about the next update(s) and how many more chapters are left. My plan is to work out the rest of the story on my own time instead of just finishing a chapter, posting it and THEN going to the next. This will help me keep everything in one place, easier to edit and have you guys on an actual schedule instead of me barging in every once in a wolf moon lol. Since I've been working on other things, it'll take me some time to get back into that groove and don't want to rush anything. This story means a lot to me and glad it means a lot to those who have been reading it. <3

As for how many chapters left ...

This is hard for me to officially decide as it depends on how I want to separate events. To give you an official number I would say about 4 to 5 more chapters. POSSIBLY 6 as to have a polite closing (or not polite, you'll have to see when you get there.)

Thanks to all who have been highly supportive. I apologize a bunch for not uploading in a structured manner but life does happen and I don't want the AO3 curse. /j I honestly didn't expect such a sweet audience. Very grateful and now I'll get to working again and have this story continued on for you. MUCH love everyone :)

genuinely could see myself having a really nice conversation with peter. could be about spirituality, marine life or hobbies. i just love how he knew about a lot of different things and took pride in what he created (even if he was like yeah yeah whatever gets the bills paid thank you deaf fans <3)

as someone who also knows about a lot of different things, it’s always so cool to chat with someone where you can learn and listen (and be goofy) with. he must have been one of those people and i feel sad i wasn’t able to talk and meet him :( bonus if i was able to get a hug,,

hi friends! apologies for the lateness of …everything. this month has been kicking my ass. i was sick in the beginning of october and now have sprained my foot. 🥲 i have half of the new captured beauty chapter written out and will see if i can get to the other half once i feel better and recover fully.

also, i’ve been watching twd (just started season 10) and i have some ideas i may write in the future. notes app hates to see me coming lols

It's great as always! Of course no pressure, take your time, but I hope it won't take long for the next chapter. I'm looking forward to see Peter and Y/N meeting again! Also what was the inspiration for the crazy girlfriend plot? Is there anything about that in Soul On Fire? I saw someone commenting about some easter eggs but I've never read it, I don't think I ever will, so don't worry about possible spoilers from that

for the inspiration of the ‘crazy girlfriend plot’ didn’t come from soul on fire! so there’s no loose tapes and whatnot in the book, that’s an idea that came from me. :) however, the inspiration was actually based off of (what i personally call) Insane B Plot because if you watch older movies, many secondary plots in them are actually way more insane than the main story. even better when it ties it together. i actually love crazy b plots and old movies so i wanted to incorporate that into captured beauty.

as for the whole soul on fire book, i’ve heard that it’s not a trustworthy source of info and shouldn’t be absorbed as pure 100% fact. yes, there are a few little things that are true and i did use some details from it but nothing that was outright false. everything else though is mostly based off of official interviews, articles and even comments i read of people who were very grateful to have met peter.
