To put it very bluntly.
You will always make a better impact helping people who need it than trying to hurt people you think deserve it.

watched someone on youtube saying they don’t try things because they’re afraid of it being a waste of time and I’m coming to realize the only time wasted is when you’re not trying at all. idk I’ve been paralyzed by fear a lot in a life, and I can see where that comes from but what I’ve learned is that it’s better to put yourself out there than to regret not doing things all the time and living with the fear of missing out. is it really a waste of time or is it time spent living your own life the way you want to when you’re not hurting anyone or yourself? it seems that being paralyzed is always so much worse
I get where that creator was coming from. I’ve been there just anxiously trying to avoid heartache because it felt soul-crushing to have been hurt before. but it didn’t fix anything to avoid life itself because back then I’d rather not do anything if I couldn’t do it perfectly or because I was so afraid of every possible outcome, and it only made the anxiety so much worse.
And it’s something that I’ve been trying to remind myself of… that it’s better to just show up, and that life doesn’t have to be lived in a way to achieve maximum potential at all times or else you’re just wasting time, especially in things that are more mundane; that the more pressure and expectation and worry you put in yourself before finally trying something new, the easier it seems that you have failed when you’re in fact still just learning. I’m still trying to remind myself of that because I’ve fallen for that trap a few times in ways that were just so sabotaging. I hope that person is doing okay, I’d honestly not wish on anyone else the anxiety I’ve had some years back

Little signs you are healing (even if it doesn’t feel like it):
You pause before reacting, even if it’s just for a second.
You notice your thoughts instead of immediately believing all of them.
You have moments, small, quiet ones where things feel a little lighter, even if they don’t last long.
You are starting to recognize what hurts you, even if you don’t know how to fix it yet.
You come back to yourself a little faster than you used to.
You let yourself rest sometimes, without as much guilt.
You are more aware of what you need, even if you struggle to give it to yourself.
You are trying. Even on the days where it feels like you are failing, you are still here, still moving through it.
You have days that feel okay, and instead of them feeling impossible, they feel… real, even if unfamiliar.
You are learning that not every thought deserves your attention.
You are still hurting sometimes, but it doesn’t feel exactly the same as before.
Healing doesn’t always look like big changes.
Sometimes it looks like this, small shifts, quiet awareness, softer moments that come and go.
And even if it doesn’t feel like progress, it is.
You are not stuck in the exact same place you were before.
Something in you is changing.
Even if it’s slow. Even if it’s subtle.
It still counts.

the internet seems like a distant dream
whatever we are on rn is not the internet. It's ads
Scooby-Doo (2002) had an incredible animated intro that was cut from the final film due to length constraints, and it’s still wild that something that good didn’t make the theatrical release
The sign many left wingers have subconsciously accepted moving right on covid and embraced lowering public health standards is when people seem to think “masks should be mandatory in healthcare settings /airplanes “ is somehow a radical position to take in an ongoing pandemic
its so fucking weird because "masks in healthcare" should be the default all of the time. Doctors and nurses are literally employed to go from sick person to sick person, treating immunocompromised people especially often.
It should have been mandatory BEFORE covid
A lot of people, including HCWs, bought into the right-wing idea that masks = weakness/fear. Because, you know, giving into peer pressure is a sign someone is totally brave and strong.
The silliest thing I find about this whole "they only got 30 years together in the end with no memories of their shared history so what was the point" is that EVERYONE THINKS THEY ONLY MET EACH OTHER IN THIS ONE SINGULAR LIFETIME REALITY instead of my immediate thought that as its architects, Aziraphale and Crowley were wound so deep into the fabric of the new universe that there is a version of them finding each other and falling in love every single generation for billions and billions of years??????
A Roman version and a French Revolution version and a WWII version and ON AND ON AND ON AND ON AND---
For goodness sake the song that plays over this version of them finding and falling in love is "Time After Time"! THE IMPLICATION IS THAT THEY WILL ALWAYS FIND EACH OTHER!!!!!! ***ALWAYS*** IN EVERY LIFETIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
nothing like seeing someone do something mid at best but still doing it regardless to make you realize how pointless your imposter syndrome really is
the irony of saying to yourself “I can’t do it unless is perfect and beyond any reproach or else I’ll be a fraud at this thing I love doing”, while you go on believing that is a realistic expectation to have…and then feeling miserable you can’t actually achieve that perfect standard you have set 😵💫
it is better to get things done than it is to wait for it to be perfect
it’s funny how we’re getting to the point in the AI lifespan where you can feel the desperation from tech companies to have you use their AI features. instagram has moved their AI effects to the top of the menu when you’re creating a post for your story, exactly where the draw/edit button used to be. gmail is creating one-click AI-generated replies right before you open up the text box. spotify put a beta AI playlist generator on the front page that looks just like a search bar so all of their users accidentally click on it when they go to search for a song.
tech companies are shaking in their boots trying to prove to shareholders that their investment in AI is worth it, to the point where they’re tricking their users into using the AI features even for a split second in order to fudge the numbers. like awww is your little environment-destroying toy not wielding the results you hoped for? so sad!

Sorry for us politics posting, but we have until May 22, 2026 to submit public comment to the FCC:
More info from GLAAD:
https://glaad.org/fcc/
They have some good tips about writing a comment and protecting your privacy which, fuck it, I'll just paste here:
Providing an email address is optional. If you have concerns about privacy, you may use your initials or public address in your local area, such as City Hall. Do not use a joke name. It diminishes the comment’s credibility.
Your submission does not need to be long. A single, well-reasoned paragraph is sufficient.
Do not copy/paste a template comment. The FCC values unique perspectives, and an original comment carries significantly more weight in the public record. You can explain why this matters to you without revealing private or sensitive personal information.
Here's what I said:
“Free speech is a fundamental American freedom. I do not need a warning about seeing queer people, much like I do not need a warning about women, veterans, or any other group of people.”
Here's the link to submit your comment by May 22:

"Do you think we're together in every universe?" "Undoubtedly."
I know God said she'd have no part in their new Universe, but we know she Loves to meddle.. and they always did make her smile.
I dont think it's too unbelievable to think her last gift to them, after they gave everything up for the humans she loved above all, would to give them just one last lifetime together.
