We are not mad enough at the fact that neither Oscar Isaac nor Joel Edgerton were included with Oscar's candidates and didn't win at the Golden Globes and other awards.
A series about my Sleepy Hollow/Wolfman AU? Why not?
*start writing few ideas*
*giggles in a creepy excited way*
Keep me updated 😏
Sleepy Hollow/Wolfman AU when Victor is send by the Scientific Academy to investigate about some strange events happening in a isolated village in the North. He's not pleased about that, but he's determined to prove the truth with the power of Science and Logic by his side.
Once he arrived, Victor is informed that all the victims looks like they were attacked by a wolf-like creature. When he ask for someone who can help him exploring the forest, where the bodies were found, the only volunteer is Adam, who lives in the woods with his adoptive grandfather. He also meet Reader, the daughter of the local innkeeper where Victor stays.
During the full moon Victor, while patrolling, is attacked by a big wolf, escaping the attack with only a wound to his right leg that forced him to a few days of bed rest under Reader's care. The two have the opportunity to get to know each other better and falling in love, but her father doesn't approved and sends Victor away with the excuse of rodent control due to some investigation documents that were found damaged. Adam welcomes Victor into his home and they continue the investigation, but at the next full moon the wolf shows up at the house, killing Adam's grandfather.
Another month passes and the population begins to lose faith in Victor's work, refusing to cooperate further. During the third full moon since Victor's arrival, a group of villagers track down and seriously injure the wolf, but before the fatal blow can be struck, one of the men is attacked by another wolf. Victor aims the rifle at the second wolf but miss the target when the creature looks at him with a seemingly wounded expression before running away, taking advantage of everyone's focus on the first creature that is transforming back.
It is revealed that the creature is Reader's father, who explains that he had killed some men that mistreated him, while Adam's grandfather was an accidental victim as the man was targeting Victor to distance him from Reader: she is the second wolf, responsible for the deaths of some customers who had harassed her. While the men takes away the innkeeper, Victor runs to find Reader, fearing she might be hunted, finding her in a clearing where they had met in secret earlier. Reader doesn't take his presence well, growling at him; Victor kneels before her and offers Reader the chance to kill him to atone for almost hitting her. Moved by his gesture, Reader approaches, resting her head against his neck, giving Victor the chance to hug her and declare his love, helping her become human again while the sun rise.
I don't understand how he's being taken so much for granted at awards. I feel like Hollywood has something against him at this point.
They asked me: "what is acting?"
I replied: "Oscar Isaac as Victor Frankenstein in the scene where he's lighting the room/basement where he has the creature chained on fire, threatening to leave him there unless he says something that isn't 'Victor' and the creature frantically keeps saying 'Victor' till he says the only other name/word he knows how to say, which is 'Elizabeth', and Oscar/Victor pauses for just a second before cruelly nodding and resuming his act of arson, but in that brief pause he radiated hatred, envy and surprise at once and in equal measure"
“I sought and longed for something I could not quite name. But in you, I found it…”

I don't trust people who didn't understand the core message of Frankenstein (2025)
So freaking true.
Oscar Isaac's expressions in this scene alone should get him that best actor oscar and I dare anyone to disagree
Wrightson parallels in Del Toro's Frankenstein
I think there are some from his comic, as well, but I'll have to go home and get the comic books to check. I did notice some thematic elements similar to that, though.
"Forgive. Forget. The true measure of wisdom." — Frankenstein, dir. Guillermo del Toro (2025)
Forgiving a parent after all the pain and trauma. I felt moved by this scene both in the book and in the movie but at the same time detached, as if I didn't understand why the creature would do that. Because I feel like I will never be able to let go of that resentment once the time comes.
Anyway, this is just rambling. Please, watch this movie because it's something majestic ❤️
Oscar Isaac reading Mary Shelley's Frankenstein you have no idea what you do to me
joel miller is to lana del rey's music what peanut butter is to jelly

Guillermo Del Toro being asked about the Oscars buzz around Frankenstein and looking at Oscar Isaac and saying "I already won an Oscar." And then hugging him with a massive grin... oh i'm gonna cry they're so cute
