Waterfall in Samoa by Emilie Ristevski
The sword catching scene in Pirates of the Caribbean took hours to film because the actors kept missing the catch, so their reactions in the final shot are genuine.
Making Found Footage Pride Flags to scare the TERFs and bigots!!

A few more!
Pride Month PSA: these images are all free to use! I always get asked around this time of year so I thought I'd make it clear in writing! Feel free to download, post them around, make them into profile pics, banners etc.

itās wild to me how there is literally ZERO correlation between what a piece of media is like and what its fanworks are like. 2014 captain america fans were out there writing poetry and full-on academic papers inside of their fics. sonic the hedgehog and my little pony fandoms are both famous for drawing fetishes youāve never even heard of. les miserables fans spent most of their energy on college aus. there is literally no consistency or observable pattern and itās incredible
#my theory is that fanworks reflect what people found missing in the canon#so like. sonic and mlp. obviously#les miz want les amis to be happy and alive and goofing around#and uh. mcu fans want the mcu to be well-writtenĀ (via dicaeopolis)
we as a society must get more normal about STDs I'm being so serious
we are in an incredible age of medicine where you can easily get most of them treated, you can get vaccinated against some, and even HIV is no longer a death sentence (and i believe a cure is in the works rn). it is not a big deal. be safe, yes, but also don't be a judgy weirdo to people who do get infected because they weren't "being safe." especially because if you do not perpetually mask in public you have less than zero ground to stand on there.
exactly!!! like, when my friend wants to hang out but I have the flu, I say "sorry I have the flu i don't wanna get you sick" and i will not rest until we live in a world where it's just as normalized to say "sorry I have chlamydia I don't want to get you sick" when someone wants to have sex
The stigma of treating STIs like a āspecialā type of pathogen is almost funny when I tell people Iād rather get gonorrhea than a cold.
But like. Compare em. Cold symptoms: runny nose, cough, congestion, tiredness, muscle aches, hard to sleep, just general sick feeling. All constant, all disruptive. Gonorrhea symptoms: irritation while peeing, discharge (and thatās if you get any symptoms at all). Localized, mostly a nuisance. Thereās no cure for the common cold, just over the counter symptom alleviators that never fully work. Gonorrhea is cleared up within 48 hours with a shot (which is potentially free, if you have good clinics nearby). Sure, you canāt have sex for a week after that, but you canāt really have sex for the 1-2 weeks youāre afflicted with a cold either.
The worst part about gonorrhea is having to tell previous partners they should get tested, but the only reason thatās the worst part is because of the stigma around it. Everyone in a friend group or office catching the same cold isnāt treated with the same stigma, even though itās the exact same thing (if anything, worse, because when you have a cold you know it and you allowed your friends to be exposed, when youāve got gonorrhea you often donāt even know).
