ᝰ.ᐟGentle Dominant things they do when you argue.
Although he isn't usually the one to instigate arguments, he does often times ragebait you just to see you fuming. It's adorable to him, the way your eyes widen, your brows furrow and you look at him with that look that says "say one more word" and he does just that while biting back a smirk.
When you do geniunely argue, he isn't raising his voice, but is inching closer to you with each word you spew at him. Inching closer to hold you, to grab your hands, to place his hand on your cheek and to ground you.
Always lets you finish talking, never interrupts your points in the argument. Nods and waits patiently if you need a second to get your words right. It is just appeasing as it is infuriating.
He always hates your tears but it's even more of a kick to his gut when he knows he's the one that caused them in one way or another.
"Sweetheart, please don't cry" he will say, sounding so pitiful when you don't let him comfort you or get close.
When you do let him close he will pull you into his arms or sit you down on his lap and rub your back till you calm down and only then will he explain his side.
Lets you argue again but never lift yourself off his lap, you can make the argument just fine from his arms, right?
And when you go off track or decide to be a brat on purpose, he will simply click his tongue and give you that look.
The look that screams 'i'm giving you a chance to fix that attitude yourself before i fix it for you'.
"Wanna try that again, angel?"
He'll ask you, still rubbing your back and pressing you closer to his chest.
He also still does have a couple more tricks up his sleeve to help you calm down or fix your mood ;)

⋆.✏ ̊Based on an anonymous ask i had gotten previously about a reader who only responds to soft and gentle commands. (sorry i probably lost the orginal question)
He always phrases his words in a way that isn't demanding, never a "eat lunch" always a "let's eat lunch, yeah?".
Knows when your spine goes rigid and your speech stutters when someone around you is demanding and you refuse to function or act accordingly.
Your stubbornness doesn't anger him. He knows why it happens.
Instead of snapping, he simply gives a patient, steady look.
"Talk to me. Don't hide from me".
Lowers your walls and grounds you with slow breathing, warm hands, and quiet words—"I'm right here,".
someone talks to you sharply, he steps between you and them—not aggressively, but with a quiet force that shuts the other person up. Then he turns to you, voice always soft and grounding.
“You alright, sweetheart?”
When you’re overwhelmed, he tilts your chin up with two fingers to check in on you, to make sure you're okay.
"Too much?" he asks softly.
Never forces you to hurry up, let's you take your own pace with things. Gives you a task and walks away expecting and knowing you'd finish it at your own pace.
Always praises you and rewards you when you're done.
A head pat followed by, "good job, love" and a forehead kiss.
And when you feel patronized and babied, when you refuse to do something and accuse him of treating and talking to you like a child.
He simply shrugs, shoulders relaxed and says “I’m not," brushes your hair behind your ear. "I'm talking to you like someone who matters to me."

His hands are always in the back pocket of your jeans when you're out in public, subtly squeezes when he notices you're zoned out or not paying attention to him.
Always has a extra hairtie on his wrist for you whenever you need one.
Has a ritual of kissing your nose, lips, cheek and then temple in that exact order everytime he leaves or wakes up in the morning next to you.
Brushes the back of his hand over your cheek when you’re zoning out.
“Earth to you, pretty girl.”
Charges your electronics, that ipad you always leave around, the smartwatch that you set down but never charge but always wonder how it's on full battery.
Will geniunely get confused when you don't let him carry things or just do things yourself, he will tilt his head to the side and furrow his brows "do you not need me anymore?"
Puts away some of his shirts in your side of the wardrobe so you can wear them whenever, only choosing the one's he heard you call 'comfy' or you wore more around the house.
Likes to 'assert dominance' by pulling up to your work/uni with a bouquet of flowers and little gifts to show your friends and coworkers who treats you so well.
Warms up the bed or the shower for you before you get in because he knows you hate the cold.
Has a album in his phone of all the pictures he took of you while you were sleeping, he swears you look adorable in all of them but you just don't see it.
Always grounding you in crowded and overstimulating environments with a hand on your knees under the table and rubs small circles with his thumb.
"I'm right here angel, focus on me".
