"W-wha...What the...? You, I, me?"
Somehow, some way, I hit 200 followers and as thanks, I would like to give a shout-out to a handful of roleplayers who helped make this happen! If it weren’t for them, I probably wouldn’t have stuck with Panne as long as I have so I want you lovely folks to give these fine people some applause for being sweet muns, grand roleplayers, and all-in-all fun to write with!
Here are my honorable mentions:
necrowmancing: This mun was one of the first people I roleplayed with when I first began Panne. We bonded over terrible puns, wrote some sappy threads, and talked about Henry’s development. If it weren’t for them, I probably wouldn’t love Henry as much as I do or feel as confident about me writing Panne. The mun opened the gateway to all kinds of fun interactions and if it weren’t our first thread, I guarantee this blog would’ve been dead without them so they earn the biggest ball of love from me.
reasonablefear: The first Yarne blog to follow me and interact. I screeched to the top of my lungs when they shot an OOC ask about some fluffy parent-son shenanigans and like a huge dork, I couldn’t resist. The mun is a huge darling and is always trying to improve their writing. Their Yarne is a very thoughtful but sad little bunny whose trying to move past his painful memories. The mun was also one of the first people I wrote with and definitely helped pushed this blog forward in activity.
enterthevaike: Then this jerk showed up and reminded me of all the ships I had for Panne. I am kidding. The mun is a whirlwind of laughter and fun. They have fantastic headcanons, great choice in characters as they handled more than just this blog, and writes each one with a deep understanding how they work. I was and still am eager to write with them every chance I get because our interactions are either terribly hilarious or terribly embarrassing for one of our characters. Hopefully that’ll never end.
cowardly-taguel: This ball of adorableness continues to lighten my day with our fluffy interactions as parent and son. They send me ridiculous messages, I torment their Yarne with embarrassing questions and situations, and overall admire how much love they put towards this dorky character. I am invigorated with energy every time they are on my dash and damned if that ever stops. So much love goes to this darling because for whatever reason they chose me as their Panne Mom. Precious child.
exaltedruler: I have to put this roleplayer down because they are the master of thought-provoking emotions. Every thread I have seen done with them is beautifully written with intricate monologues to how their Chrom feels. Definitely a writer who encourages me to lay awake at night on how horribly tragic our characters really are. The mun is a delight and while I haven’t known them for very long, I am never unfollowing. They are on my dash forever.
inmemoratus: A fantastic interpretation of the tactician, this mun turns me into a emotionally compromised mess with the possible scenarios their character builds towards, and if that wasn’t enough of a boast, the mun can write like no tomorrow. Their sentence structures, choice of vocabulary, the fluidity of their writing— I could go on for days how perfect their writing is and how much I deeply admire it. If there is anyone whose looking for a great multi-para partner, look no further; this mun who you want.
Those are the six I am promoting for this Follow Forever. I wish I could go on forever about the wonderful people I follow and write with but I’d clog up the dash with my gushing. But they’re will plenty more (hopefully) promos down the road where each of you gorgeous and sweet people can know how much I appreciate you, respect you, and just love to read and write with you.
There’s two hundred of you right now and for whatever reason you stuck with me this far. I can’t ask for more out of a hobby like this but you folks deliver some fantastic experiences. May that never change.
Much love from the Panmun.
"Not a crowd! Just your cute auntie Nowi! I just wanted to see on how the cute mister grumpy bunny was doing!"
"A-Auntie? And am not grumpy! Jus'....Reasonably worried, that's all! Never grumpy, though, that's Gerome."
[A welcome to all my new followers! Yarne will stop hiding behind the bush in a matter of moments, I promise.]

His over-blown reaction caused Panne to wince. Perhaps she should have clarified the difference of poison to him lest he unleash such panic on any unwary human who might offer the dish to him.
"Poison, in a sense," she corrected, thinking on how to explain this to him. "Our bodies cannot digest it properly so we get sick. It’d be like how if humans ate raw meat, they’d throw up. It’s not poisonous like what the humans brew, the kind that kills quickly, but simply makes us very ill. You might have a stronger stomach for a human diet, though."
He was half-human so he may have gained his father’s immunity to some foods and herbs. It was hard to say though without him trying the harder to digest meals. But if he could manage it, he’d do well to survive with his father’s people. He’d be able to eat their meals without complaint and adjust to the cities far better than she ever could. ‘Course Panne wasn’t sure if that’s what she wanted for him.
She nodded, delighted at how he shifted to a happier topic since he beamed so brightly. “I have tried carrot cake only once but I remember it well. The frosting was odd but so very sweet. I wish I knew how the human did it so I could make it myself. And share it with you.” Perhaps Olivia or Cherche might know the recipe. They were the better cooks of the Shepherds.
"A-ah." Ops. He might've overreacted just a bit there, but come on, it was his mother telling him that one of the vegetables he'd eaten the most (or had tried to, at least) was posionous for Taguels! Anyone would've flipped over coming to know such a terrifying fact...No? "Well, t-that would explain the stomach aches and t-the weariness..." Come to think of it, the situation had always striked him as bizarre in a way, considering that he had seen everyone eat potatoes and never be ill- At a certain point he had wondered why that was happening only to him, but brushed it off as one of the many consequences of his overly-nervous attitude. The discovery just gave him another reason to be glad Panne was there (as if he didn't have enough reasons to be as happy as a puppy), giving him life-worthy advices and looking out for him like only a mom would be able to! And he, as a loving son, would surely try to do the same! Without mother, there would be no him and without him there would be no Taguels! His family was important. More than anything. "Seets things are good-! A-at least, I like 'em a lot. They lift your mood up when you're down, did you know that?" Yarne had heard such a notion from his human companions and in a way, he had to agree: nomming on carrot cake after a bad day really did make him feel somehow better. "I am not a great cook to be honest- But if y'wanna try something, I am down with it! I-I mean...I'd love to help."

"Unfortunately, you are," Lon’qu sighed, he hated letting the poor guy down, "this is merely a curse someone put on me….n-not that I think it’s a curse to be a taguel or anything just…"
"Oh. That's too bad! Even if...Well, it would've been strange to see a taguel pop out of nowhere like that." Yarne observed Lon'qu's ears from up close, poking one with his finger. "...How did they do this?"
I'm 99.9999% positive anons are trying to make the taguel go extinct but yarne is rad and ur rad so we need to save the taguel

"They are poisonous for us," she answered, partially glad he inherited that from her. She’d have no reason to serve at suppertime now. Naga help her if he was immune to it, well, she’d be eating a separate meal with her family. Some reason humans were obsessed with putting those deceitful spuds in everything they made. Stew, soup, roast— she could not go a day in the mess hall without coming across those putrid beasts.
"We may look almost human but our bodies digest different foods than they do. Potatoes are…" her nose scrunched up as she tried to figure out a way to say it. Mirirel told her the answer to such a curious question before but now she could not remember it. Too many big words for her to recount the exact reason; she’d have to paraphrase. "….gross, as the humans would say." It was not the perfect answer but it’ll do.
She chuckled and picked up a carrot to eat. All the conversation of food was making her hungry and she did not pack it all for them to simply stare at, did she? “I favor carrots most of all. They do not serve it enough in the mess hall but the one called Stahl tries his best to appease me. He makes these terrible carrot pastries in an attempt to make me eat with the others.”
"P-Poisonous?!" Yarne's face fell and probably became visibly paler: all that time, when he had tried to eat potatoes, he had slowly poisoned himself?! What if he were to eat a lot of them without knowing? And why did no one say a thing to him about something so important? Then it hit him: no one knew about taguels, apart for taguels themselves. And he, in his world, was the last one to hold taguel blood. The hybrid frowned, expression going form terrified to mortified and mentally thanked himself for not having screamed the 'why did no one tell me' thing. That would've been downright...Bad. At least for him. His mother seemed to hate potatoes and for a good reason too- Now that he knew, Yarne was going to avoid the dreadful vegetables as if they were an armed enemy with a taste for bunny meat! "Well, t-that's true! They kind of...Put 'em into many dishes and...I always found them a little hard to digest...Things make sense." The half-taguel rubbed the back of his neck, feeling stupid all of a sudden, but soon forgetting about it, preferring to smile. "Yeah, gross' the word you're looking for. Nasty works well too."
"Uh-uh, carrots are like a blessing! Did you know humans made cakes out of them? It's like magic to eat." Yarne grinned childishly, going for a carrot as well as soon as he targeted one. "Stahl looks like a nice guy to me- Always kind. A bit strange, but kind."

Panne wished her other self had been stronger. She wished she had stayed with her kit and hid with him. To think he lived so long without her, forced to live in a world that was cruel and unforgiving to their kind—- how she wished she could to his reality and change it.
Yarne was everything she was ever wanted. He was her family. Her child. Her legacy. And he was so perfect. He looked so much like her, beyond the markings and the fur. His face sharpened and wild like hers but his eyes did remind her of her mate’s. It was not the shade that was reminiscent of his but the look. So human, so full of emotion. so loving.
It caused Panne’s heart to seize up. Constricted. And as he looked up to her again, those eyes upon her, she hugged him tighter.
"I am happy, too, kit. I am happy to have met you. I am happy you are here. And I know there will be no greater happiness in my life." She pulled back from the hug to touch his cheek. Her calloused fingers traced his markings and his chin, memorizing her child’s face. Her lips parted for a moment as though she were going to say something else but she stopped.
She let go of her kit and turned her gaze back to the food.
"Hmph…" she said softly, trying hard not to be over-whelmed with these maternal feelings. "Now what is your favorite food? Hm?"
Did his mom really think so high of him? Had ever seen him as a joy, rather than the odd hybrid everyone thought of? If the 'ther' Panne had been anything like this one, then the answer was yes, she had loved him so dearly, but didn't have the time to properly show it, with the war, the horror and then death. Yarne felt like he was poking at his own wounds by thinkin so hard about something so sad, when in fact he should concentrate on the so very happy moment he was living. Yeah, he liked the idea to think about the present and nothing more, for once.
"Uh, you're too kind mom-" The half-taguel smile and soon felt his eyes widening slightly when his mother started touching his face (maybe it was some taguel ritual he never got to learn!) and wondered if he was supposed to do the same, like some sort of mutual exchange of attention between mother and son? He slightly tilted his head to a side when Panne opened her mouth, but when no sound came out and she turned around he just let it be: it wasn't easy for either of them to get used to this all, but at least he got her smiling, right? That was more than good! (And he got a hug. A hug.)
Yarne scratched his chin, pondering for a moment. "I really, really like vegetables stew. I have preference for carrots, salad and, ah, cabbage! I looove cabbage. Thought I can't quite digest potatoes...Dunno why..." He remembered a time in which he ate a potato and was forced to bed for half a day. Ugh.
