Lune was used to being looked at, but this.. this felt different. The way those eyes followed him, looked at him up and down. His own eyes never leave Jaesun either though, so he wasn’t really any better, but it would be rude to look away. This man, he was important. Lune didn’t want to come off as disrespectful. He was extremely grateful to be working there after all.
A flood of compliments was definitely not what he had expected from this meeting. Taking a step closer and then another, just like he was asked. Just a few feet away from Jaesun. Close enough to touch.
“Ah, thank you sir.“ Lune bows politely, unable to believe what he was hearing. The words bringing a blush to his cheeks, a smile decorating those delicate features of his. Lune was definitely happy to hear that good things were said about him, that he had left a good impression on his manager and most importantly on Jaesun. Despite having been nervous before, he now felt rather blessed to be there with the owner, to have this chance to speak to him and… to discuss his future? Could he really want more than this? Lune needed to be honest with himself and with Jaesun.
“Sir. I love this job, I really do. But.. I don’t see myself dancing for forever. I would love an opportunity one day to climb up the ladder, maybe to be a manager one day. To actually have an impact on the company. I know you mentioned I make good money, but I feel like there is so much more I could do than just dance. I want…” Lune stops mid sentence. Those big doe like eyes follow Jaesun as the man stands up, when he steps closer and.. then comes the touch. Gentle. Thoughtful. Not pushy like some of the customers could be when they didn’t get their way.
How was he supposed to think straight?
Red. Red? Something about those eyes made it hard to focus. People didn’t just have the ability to change their eye colour whenever they wanted. What was it he was trying to tell Jaesun? What was it that Lune wanted? No one had ever asked him before. Deep down he knew what it was.
For a moment Lune is left speechless. That whisper causing it, the way Jaesun was smirking. Blood rushing to his face, causing it to turn even redder than it had been before, heart working twice as hard pumping that blood. Racing in his chest. It almost felt as if the man was flirting with him. It couldn’t be, right? Lune who was always composed and doing as told, he was actually struggling.
“Anything I could… want..”
For the first time he would avert his gaze, lowering his head. Chewing on those glossy lips of his. “The reason I work is money, of course. I think everyone is the same, we work to survive. Some of us simply need to work harder and longer than others. I haven’t had an easy life and I am used to working hard. Sometimes I do wish life was easier. It would be nice to have time and means to enjoy it.” Lune takes a deep breath, looking back up, letting their eyes meet once again.
“Money isn’t everything to me though. I want a reason to exist. I want someone to look at me and see me, someone to see my potential. Someone who desires me. I understand you want to assist me, help me reach the goals I have set for myself, but I am afraid this goal isn’t anything you can help me with.” It could be, but he couldn’t possibly think that Jaesun had any interest in him, at least not that kind of interest. Even if he did look at him in a manner that sent shivers down his spine, as if he was going to eat him alive. It made him nervous, made him bite his lip again.
God. He felt so nervous. The whole situation sinking in. Him being there alone with his handsome boss. That said boss looking at him, whispering in that rather alluring voice. His own voice was quiet, maybe hoping that could calm whatever feeling it was inside him. “Do you.. still want to assist me, knowing that?”
