This used to be a roleplay blog - I was in the fandom for many, many, many long years. It isn't necessarily anymore, but I am semi open to the idea of getting back into that if anyone was interested in para/novella formatting. I'm mainly here to shit post, talk about fics, and promote my own. If you want my discord, just ask.

I accept writing and headcanon requests. There are some prompts kicking around and I might still reblog a few. Or you can send me original stuff if you'd like.

I don't tolerate any sort of hate. Bigotry, transphobia, antisemitism, etc etc etc - none of it has a place on this blog or in conversation with me. I may write heavy topics but that does not mean I condone any of it.

Which brings me to my next point, if you're easily triggered, please see yourself out. I'm not here to babysit or sugarcoat my writing to appeal. I have no interest in labels such a proshipping and I don't care about your DNI list. I'm an adult and hopefully, so are you. If you're not, at least behave yourself.

What honestly grinds my gears is when people say L won against B and lost to Kira. To me, it's quite literally the opposite. L was not the one who solved B's case, NAOMI did. L had Light all but proven guilty in a court of law; he was inches away from it which is exactly why Light finally executed the Rem plan. I don't know, I think if you interpreted LABB as L's win, you didn't understand what B's misstep was the same way that if you think L lost to Kira, you didn't understand what was trying to be achieved.

In LABB, L was trying to outsmart B as much as B was trying to outsmart L. B lost because he assumed Naomi below both of them. L lost because he would not sacrifice his pride to investigate in person.

In Death Note, L was trying to prove that magic was fucking real. Which he nearly goddamn did. Similarly, Light nearly lost because he wouldn't sacrifice his own pride to use the Eyes, or kill L in a mortal way.

The LABB to Death Note sliding scale isn't about intelligence to me, but about where these men were psychologically in their lives. L sacrifices his pride to investigate Light in person, because he admits that Kira is worth "stooping" to that level. He would never have considered honoring B with that - which is exactly why he hires Naomi. In both instances, he knew who the killer was. He just had to prove it.

the thing is L and Light really are equally capable and also definitely NOT neurotypical but the difference between them is that L's needs are accommodated for whereas Light is forced to wear a mask upon mask upon mask and that's why one of them has a positive impact on the world by solving difficult cases whereas the other is a mass murderer

I think one of the funniest things about B is that he did all that in hopes that Naomi would relay every single little detail of their conversations to L. The entire thing was a performance for a singular person who was never once in the same room. An incredible amount of what B did to mock L was entirely lost, both in translation and just because Naomi as a person would never have detailed 90% of what that freak did, out of second hand embarrassment and because she was very keen to not waste L's time. This is hilarious. B put on the performance of his life for someone who didn't even buy a ticket.
