Chapter 45 Long Distance Fanfic
Prom Night
Victoria woke up with a nervous stomach, rubbing her eyes she sat up on her bed, turned at looked at her bed side table, the clock said 5:30 am. “Oh my god. It’s prom day.” She got off her bed and went to the kitchen to eat breakfast. As she made herself breakfast she decided that she was going to call someone.
She picked up the phone and dialed…one ring…two rings…three rings, “Why are you calling so early?” Presley said in a grumpy tone.
“Sorry Pres! Is Bruno up?” Victoria asked sheepishly.
“No, but I’ll wake him,” Presley said. She took the phone with her as she slowly opened a door. Able to hear what Presley is doing, Victoria grinned, she knew that she was going to wake up Bruno in a harsh way. “Here he is,” Presley whispered to the phone.
“PRESLEY!” Bruno yelled as he felt his little sister jump on to his stomach.
“Vicky’s on the phone for you,” she said as tossed the phone to Bruno.
“Vick? Why are you up so early?” Bruno asked in a groggy voice.
“It’s prom day. I want to make sure you don’t forget anything…Ironic huh?” Victoria joked.
“Vick, you have a list made don’t you? Alright let me grab a pen to write this down,” Bruno said. “What’s the first thing?”
“I’m just gonna tell you. Eat, shower, hair, suit, shoes, tie, my corsage, the limo, money, and a camera,” she listed. “Did you get all of that?”
“Did you really just wake me up at five forty to tell me this list? You are so lucky you’re my best friend Vick,” Bruno yawned.
“Well I woke up this early because I have to get my hair and makeup done, and I was eating breakfast and I got bored. So who do I cal when I get bored? My best-est friend ever!” Victoria smiled, “but Nicole was in the shower so then I called you to annoy you.”
“You called me because you wanted to hear my voice,” Bruno teased, secretly hoping that was true.
“Nah,” Victoria denied. “Anyways I’m going to go shower now. Don’t forget you need to pick me up at five. And the dinner reservations are at six, and then we get to prom at seven thirty-ish and the limo is rented out until one in the morning.”
“Yeah I got Vick. Go shower. I can smell you’re sweat from here,” Bruno joked. “See you at in twelve hours.”
“Okay. I’ll go now. See ya later. Love you. Bye,” she said out of habit. Hanging up on Bruno, she realized what she just said. “Wait….”

Looking at his watch, “Five o'clock on the dot,” Bruno rang the door bell. Usually he’d just let himself in but today was not like any other day. It was prom night. Bruno had been nervous ever since the phone call and how Victoria ended it.
“Oh Bruno it’s you!” Karina said as she answered the door. “You could have just let yourself in.”
“Yeah I know, but it’s prom. I thought today would be kind of different,” Bruno said walking through the door way. “Is she ready?”
“Just about. I think she’s getting her purse ready,” Karina said. “You know how she is with planning. I’m just glad she’s acting more like herself since the accident.”
“Yeah, she’s been getting better,” Bruno smiled.
“MA! IS THAT BRUNO?!” Victoria said as she walked out of the corner putting her earrings on.
“Yeah mija,” Karina smiled.
“Hey Vick,” Bruno’s mouth dropped. “You look great!”
Victoria blushed, “Thanks Bruno. You look good in a suit!”
“Thanks. You ready to go?” Bruno looked at his watch, “Ryan said he’ll be ready to get picked up soon.”
“Wait, wait, wait!” Karina exclaimed, “You can’t leave yet! I need to get pictures! Bruno you have to go visit your mom once you’ve picked up everybody! She’ll want pictures of the whole group!”
“Sorry,” Victoria apologized. “She gets kind of crazy. I’ve noticed that we have a lot of pictures of my childhood. She’s very camera crazy.”
“It’s fine. Just smile,” Bruno said as he put his arm on the back of her wait and pulled her close. “CHEESE!”
“Oh you guys look so nice!” Karina teared up, “I promised myself I’m not going to cry in front of you guys. Go pick up the rest of your friends. I’ll see you later mija.” she wiped her eyes. “Bruno her curfew is two. I don’t want her a minute later.”
“Sounds good,” Bruno smiled. “I’ll see you at two Karina!” Bruno waved as he made his way to the door. He opened it so Victoria could walk out.
“Who are we picking up first?” Victoria asked as she walked towards the limo.
“Well I was thinking we can pick up Ryan last since he lives by my house. We can pick up Nicole first because Kayla is going wit Ryan and Tara said she’s going to be with Nicole,” Bruno opened the limo door.
“Wow. I’m surprised. You have it all organized,” Victoria said as she crouched down to get in to the limo.
“Well I don’t want to miss our reservation,” Bruno simply stated. He wanted to make this day as perfect as possible. He wanted it to be exactly how Victoria planed it before the accident. He wanted to make her happy.
