2. Is their voice quiet or loud?
3. Do they have unusual speech patterns?
4. Do they have an accent or dialect?
5. Do they like to sing? Are they good at it?
I just wanted to say I really do like your depiction of Dracula and I think your art is amazing!
Thank you for the ask, and I'm so glad you like him!
1. God yes, he is very talkative. He spends a lot of his time alone or in the company of brides that behave more like thralls than fellow immortals, so any time he gets to talk to mortals or visitors, he yaps. Stories of the past, asking questions about the present, boasting of his own triumphs (if possible anyway, if not he will of his past as if it were a distant relative), about travel... He is especially nerdy about western Europe and will absolutely yap the night away to someone from there. Adam is a perfect brick wall to talk to sometimes.
2. He has a loud voice, I would say. It commands a room, draws attention. Part of this is because he doesn't care to make himself smaller. However, he can bring it down for more intimate conversation, but at base, you can catch his voice in a crowd.
3. The only unusualness in his cadence is because he is an eastern/southeastern European foreigner trying to emulate a primarily British way of speaking and isn't always successful. This doesn't stop him from doing it.
4. Well, would he be a Dracula without his classic, native accent? His is odd though because again, he tries to copy other foreign accents when he speaks that language, to the point that his own natural sound is only found in his native language. Even when he moves to America in the 20th century, he tries to adopt an American accent (which at the time was the Transatlantic), but that eventually melted off to his own... thing. In the modern era, he's a bit undefinable to the untrained ear.
5. Dracula has been known to sing from time to time in the comfort of his own home, or humming on walks. He didn't consider just wide open singing to be proper for a while there, but he has now warmed up to the idea of karaoke as a socially acceptable place to show off his talents. (It's not that amazing of a talent, but it's fun and a largely night based activity)
