it's "as long as you don't threaten the town" and cleo looks out only for herself and everyone knows it and pearl says she won't hurt cleo

like. "i'm okay as long as you don't kill people" and it's revealed cleo farmed people for vampires and pearl does nothing

Taking this to be platonic Moonrot because unfortunately the platonic and romantic ships share a name lol. Also a note that I don’t remember Last Life very well so didn’t put any moments, but they’re great in Last Life too.

1.) The moment in episode 2 of Double Life where Cleo came to Pearl’s tower and they had a weird tense conversation where Cleo called herself Pearl’s replacement and Pearl seemed confused and then Pearl complained to Cleo about being lonely and Cleo says I know you’re alone but you could have found another group and you know you could make your own soulbound and when Pearl says it’s Tilly Cleo kind of backs off and leaves. And while they’re leaving, Pearl gets all whimpery and thanks Cleo for the company and Cleo promises to talk to her later. (This is the last positive interaction the two will have until the very end of episode 5.)

2.) The moment after Pearl has killed Bdubs and Impulse where Cleo comes up to her and seems confused and afraid and a little genuinely concerned when they ask her if she’s okay and Pearl very unhingedly says she’s totally fine and not unhinged and it seems like they might actually have a conversation but then Martyn jumps in and starts shooting so it turns into Pearl hunting Cleo down.

3.) Cleo warning Pearl that BigB couldn’t be trusted in Limited Life episode 1.

4.) Staring into each other’s eyes when they went Yellow in Limited Life episode 3.

5.) Pearl putting on her scarlet Pearl skin in LimL episode 4 to try to scare people and it not working on anyone except Cleo.

6.) The slow degradation of the somewhat positive starting relationship between the Clockers and the Nosey Neighbors that ends with Cleo being killed by Pearl again.

7.) Cleo betraying her and Pearl’s alliance in Secret Life by hurting Pearl’s dogs and insisting that the alliance was broken when her own dogs died so it’s fine.

8.) Pearl taking the Cleo kill in Secret Life on the murder camel when she didn’t need any more hearts and they wanted to get some for Gem because she got too caught up in the moment.

9.) Cleo declaring themself Pearl’s enabler in Wild Life and going along with all of her bits after episode 2.

10.) Cleo and Pearl being the last two of the GGGG left alive in Wild Life and finding each other and both declaring that they’re lost and don’t know what to do but Cleo declares that they’re going to at least try to get Ren a win which Pearl agrees to despite not seeming super enthusiastic about it.

11.) Whatever is currently happening with them in Nice Life.
