That Kiss [ A LoZ TP FanFiction ]
First fanfic, most likely many format mistakes and a few spelling mistakes. This is not final and likely due for many edits and or additions. Honestly just wanted to get this out there.
Hyrule was at peace and Princess Zelda was saved. Link had defeated Gannondorf and fulfilled his destiny as the hero of Hyrule. Though he didn’t do it alone, enjoying the victory and newfound peace, Link was grateful it was finally over and for the journey he had gone on with his companion Midna. She was the Princess of the Twilight Realm. On their journey not only did they save Hyrule but the Twilight Realm along with it, defeating an evil usuper named Zant which was a puppet of Gannondorf. Midna could now hold the throne and give her people a better future. Everything comes at a cost though and what followed broke Link in a way he was not prepared for. Midna had shattered the only way to cross over into the Twilight Realm and so Link and Zelda would never be able to see her again.
So Link traveled with his horse Epona, with no destination in mind and no purpose left decided for him. His life was his own and he was free to use it how he wished. Maybe he could return to his friends in Boarder City and reunite with Darpa, Zeu, and Rioma. Link thought about this one the most as he traveled but no matter how many times he tried, despite the genuine joy he felt around them, there was the nagging feeling of sadness that came with his distance apart from Midna. Especially with no way to see her if he wished, this crushed him. Out of all the memories though one came with the most heartache and bitterness, right before Midnas departure; that kiss.
The kiss that Midna left link with, that "reward" before she shattered the Mirror of Twilight. That simple gesture from her was unexpected and it caught him off guard. Link truly wished to go see her again or perhaps start a new journey, but instead she left him with that bitsweet farewell and it bothered him. The feelings swelling in his heart grew every passing day on his travels.
For two years his mind raced, with only a few moments of solace, his mind numb and on auto pilot. It was not fair, he thought. How could she just leave him like that? He knew the answer and he understood her reason. His feelings were selfish and his desires even more so but this didnt stop his thoughts.
Link wanted to see Midna again and he would stop at nothing to make it happen, for what is a new life worth living if not with her?
And so one day while visiting his home village Ordon, he went to his home and laid within his bedroom. Looking at the ceiling he could hear Colin and the other kids playing outside having fun. He was happy, but in a sense he was also sad. He was full of joy that the kids could play in peace now and they are able to be without worry, he had fulfilled his destiny after all and saved everyone. But now he thought; what do I want?
Instead of constantly pondering about it and burying this feeling deep within he decided to finally do something about it.
Link got out of bed and raced to get dressed. Deciding to put on his old green uniform, because if he was going to see her again, he wanted to be wearing what she knew him in. Link also knew she hated that green hat of his, which made him want to wear it even more. Leaving outside his front door, he smiled and waved at the kids. They ran up to him laughing from their previous game.
“Hey kids, I am going somewhere and will be back eventually. Basically going to see an old friend alright? Don’t tell Ilia where I’m going. I don’t want her to worry.” Link said, placing a hand on Colin’s head.
Colin having overcome his past bashfulness spoke first. “Ilia is going to be super mad if you don’t tell her yourself!”
“Yeah!” Beth chimed in while holding onto Talos arm. “Besides what do we say if she asks us why?”
Talo looked at Beth and blushed repeating what she said. "Exactly, we are just a bunch of kids what are we supposed to say?"
Link studied them for a second and tried to figure out how to respond. He looked at Malo who had the same cold stone face he always did. This kid, Link thought. Hes got a face and personality like no other kid here but he was also super smart.
“Any advice, Malo?” Asked Link, kneeling down to face him.
Malo looked at him and put out his hand. Link looked at Malo confused.
“Five rupees.” He said. Expressionless.
“You little extortionist…after all the money I put into your shop at Kakariko Village.” A pause and Malos face didn’t change expression. He waited expectingly.
Link clicked his tongue and reached into his bag. “There is ten rupees. Now can I count on you?”
Malo stuffed them into his shirt and nodded. He began to walk off.
“Mako! Wait up!” All the kids went after him except Colin who stayed behind for a moment. “Promise you’ll be alright Link? We are all going to miss you!”
Link ruffled his hair a bit and said, “I know and don’t worry I will. This is just something I have to do okay? Call it a hero’s own personal journey.”
With that Colin’s eyes lit up with admiration and nodding his head with a smile. Soon after he ran off to catch up with the others.
Crossing the road that lead to the local waterfall, he found Epona and got her ready for the journey ahead. While packing his things he heard some footsteps.
“Have you come to ask for more money, Malo? Look I don’t have much more because I spent it all on new pots after rolling into-“ he stopped speaking after turning around because it was not Malo he saw but Ilia.
She looked at him with a stern expression with hands on her hips. “Now why would you be giving Malo money? Something you’re trying to keep under wraps?”
“Hey Ilia. I thought you were in Kakariko.” He said nervously.
“I’m on a trip for my father. But that’s besides the point. Where are you going? I could have sworn you just got here and you’re already leaving?” She began to walked toward Link.
He looked around and lastly to his trusty steed Epona. “Hey girl help me out here what do I say?” The horse snorted and flicked her head to the side looking away. “Ah geez much help you are old girl.” Within moments ilia was inches from his face with that same stern look.
“Well?” She asked expectingly.
Link sighed in defeat and put his hands up as a defense. “I am just going to see an old friend. Nothing dangerous I promise.”
Ilia studied him for a moment. “I can tell you’re not lying but why hide this?”
“Because…I should be happy, right? I saved the land of Hyrule and everyone I love is safe and sound. I have my whole life ahead of me now mine for the taking. No destiny or book telling me what to do.” Link clenched his fist a bit. “But no matter how much I try I cannot forget her.”
Ilia looked at Link softening her expression. “I’m assuming you don’t mean Zelda, do you?”
Link performed a small laugh. “No, not Zelda. Though she is beautiful and someone I feel close with, she is not the one that stole my heart.”
Ilia took a few steps back and turned around. “Well no matter. I won’t pry. Just make sure you return safely okay? If I hear anything’s happened to you I will take up sword training just to come find you. Got that?” She stayed turned around.
Link felt a bit of sadness from Ilias words but was grateful nonetheless. “Thank you, Ilia. For everything you done and for always watching the kids here in my absence. That is a debt I will never be able to pay.” He took a bow and then got on his horse and rode off. As he did, he looked back to see Ilia waving him goodbye with tears in her eyes. He waved back and to not make the goodbye any harder, he continued on.
After riding for a bit he had thought of a destination in mind to first look. To be honest it was his first and only choice he could think of. No other place came to mind that just might bring him close to seeing Midna. So Link went back to the site where she had destroyed the Mirror of Twilight and began his search there. Hoping some way or some how there would be some answer here. There still was the empty pedestal where the mirror used to sit and the cold stone which served as the foundation for the doorway.
Memories immediately flooded into his mind of his and Zelda's farewell with Midna and the words she spoke to them both before her depature.
"Light and Shadow shouldn't mix. We must watch over each other from a distance. Link… Zelda…, I will never forget you, goodbye."
Link purposefully did not recall the most painful parts of that memory. His attempts to go with her, his pleading and desire to be with her and the kiss that left him nearly speechless. Wiping a tear from his eyes he searched around for anything that might give him hope to see her again. His new connection to the Twilight Realm had to be somewhere.
Days past, Link had set up camp near by with Epona. Every day he searched without any success. One day, after what felt like an eternity of searching he noticed someone. A tall figure with long brown hair and sharp jaw with a flowing royal dress.
"Princess Zelda!" Seeing her suddenly he fell to one knee and bowed.
Zelda approached and extended a hand to him. "Must you be so formal Link? Are we not past this? Please, rise and converse with me as a friend.”
Link did a sharp sigh from exhaustion and took her hand lifting himself. He looked at her still holding her hand. "What are you doing here? Did something happen at the Castle? Are you okay?"
Zelda did a small laugh and squeezed his hand tightly then let go. "Yes I am alright, please be still, my guards worry about me enough as it is, please calm yourself. You sound tired.” She began to walk a bit toward the altar gazing at it with melancholy eyes. She brushed her hand against the stone. “I am here because I felt a presence near the old pedestal.”
Link did a quick glance at the pedestal and then back to her.
Zelda smiled. "I thought it was nothing to be concerned about but after it lingered for a few days I decided to check on it myself." She tilted her head slightly looking at him. "You miss her, don't you?"
He nodded. Link knew hiding any true intensions from her was pointless. Zelda was one of his closest friends and also very wise.
Link went to stand near her now also looking at the stone that once held the doorway. “I can't get that farewell out of my head, Zelda. After saving Hyrule with you and Midna my life feels it lost its purpose. It was easy before, my destiny was decided for me, I didn't have to think about what I wanted. So, I came here in hopes of finding a way to return to the Twilight realm and see her again. I came here with no plan though, just some courage and determination. I’ve had no luck at all.”
Link paced a bit, stopping at Epona who was chewing on some stray grass. He rested his arm on her and pet her head a bit. “I can’t help but feel sort of pathetic.”
Zelda soaked in this expression of Link. "Y'know I have never seen this side of you before. My brave Hero of Hyrule, who's courage is none like any other. Not to mention how much you are speaking. I don't think I have ever heard you speak this much in my entire time knowing you. Midna really has a hold on you doesn't she? its with her hair isn't it?" she chuckled leaning down trying to see if her remark worked.
Zeldas efforts were immediately shown when Link laughed a bit.
She smiled and grabbed his hand. "Come with me Link, I want to show you something." Link held her hand back and began to follow her, leaving Epona behind he wondered where they were going. He had searched up and down this place with nothing to show for it. He spent days messing with the original alter, looking for any pieces of glass of the original mirror. He knew this was futile, the original mirror was obliterated and no traces were left behind. Yet, he was desperate and willing to do anything to see Midna again.
Eventually Zelda lead him to a huge wall with nothing on it. Then, with a flick of her finger it lit up and a door opened.
"You…what is this, Zelda?" Link stammered.
"Follow me, it isn't far." She began to lead him to a huge chamber with a pool of water in the middle, it almost looked like a huge fountain. The walls were decorated with what looked like instructions and diagrams, as if someone had been working on solving a problem. They stood at the edge of the pool of water and looked into it, seeing their reflections.
"The water is so still it almost looks like a… "
"Mirror?" Zelda interrupted. "yes that was the intention."
"Intention? What do you mean? What is this place?"
"Even Midna doesn't know about this place." She paused and looked at her reflection. "When my father destroyed my only communication with her in my garden, I was resentful and I eventually found a way to create another one. I wont go into detail, as you can see I spent a long time figuring out a way to reach her. I missed the friend I used to chat with in my garden and wanted to see her again." Zelda looked around the walls with a somber gaze and then continued.
"But, my duty is here in Hyrule and I could never put it in danger again so I sealed this away and planned to dispose of it. No matter how much I wanted to, I told myself I had to put my duty above everything else." Zelda looked at him with a soft expression.
“As I Princess I can only imagine the choice Midna had to make was not an easy one. She too had a duty to her realm and its people. I just know the way she left could not have been easy for her.”
There was a small pause. In that time Link thought about it and of course he knew the decision was not easy. He never blamed her for any of it. What he wanted was selfish and he knew it and he didn’t care. “I know that Zelda…but I just-“
Zelda Interrupted him again. “I know you just want to see her. I knew all those years ago this is what was going to happen.” She looked at him. “And I don’t blame you. This is everything your heart desires right?”
Link nodded while looking at his reflection some more. “It’s all I have wanted for these past two years. I want to see her, I want to see Midna again.”
Zelda began to walk behind him. Hands behind her back swaying her dress ever so slightly. Link really didn’t notice until she spoke.
"Link…only one person can go through" Zelda looked at him, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Tell Midna I am sorry I never told her about this."
"What do you me-"
and just like that Zelda had pushed him into the pool of still water. It was cold at first but eventually faded.
As he drifted down, he heard Zelda say, "I almost forgot! Tell Midna to contact me in the same place in her garden. And dont worry about Epona, I will take care of her."
Links vision went black and his body floated. What felt like forever eventually came to an end with a sudden fall to the ground.
When Links vision came to he saw the dark clouds and orange light of the sky and dark architecture. He knew instantly where he was; he was in the Twilight Realm. Link gathered himself and looked up only to see the sky again, no still water or anything out of the ordinary. His mind raced with questions about what just happened with Zelda. How did she create this gateway? Was it only one way and how would he return? These were thoughts he wanted to tackle later. For now, he dusted off his surprisingly dry clothes and began to look around. Walking for a bit Link searched around some more only to see what looked like a small cozy home. Nothing out of the ordinary except this time he could hear a voice humming a tune coming from it and he swore it sounded familiar. Link went to investigate, peeking through what looked like a window, he saw her.
Midna was in her true form, grey skin with black covering her breasts and legs and long orange hair. Her crimson eyes shined more than usual reflecting the fire back. Sitting down reading a large book. She hummed a tune as she read. Even in this lightless realm, Midna's beauty shinned like always and it gave Link a rush of emotions. For all the battles he had braved and foes he had defeated, this was his toughest battle, to even think about approaching her almost turned his stomach. He could watch her for ever. Finally after all this time he was able to see her again and it was all thanks to Zelda. He knew he would have to find a way to repay her for what she did, no doubt she also wanted to see her but she did this for him and he was not going to make her effort be in vain.
Feeling awkward from staring at her, he stopped and went to her door. Link lifted his hand and knocked three times. He waited for what felt like an eternity until finally she answered.
"I told you I am not to be dis-" she stopped instantly as her gaze met his.
"..Hey, Midna."
She slammed the door and there was a pause. She opened it again.
Link attempted to speak again. "I know I am the last person you-"
She slammed the door again but this time she opened it again instantly.
Midna spoke this time. "This isn't a dream? You are not some illusion of the mind? Some occurrence of my imagination?"
"No, I am really here and I am more than happy to expla-" Link was cut off by a sudden raise of Midnas' hand.
"Yes you will explain! If not you then who? Get in here before someone sees you!" She yanked Link by the green tunic and brought him inside the building.
As he stumbled in he saw It was a humble space she lived in, nothing you'd expect a princess to reside in. One living area on the first floor with a fire place and a kitchen off to the side. Upstairs leading to what looked like a bedchamber and a small loft. The only light source came from the candles and small fireplace in a nearby corner she ha been reading her book in. He instantly felt comfortable, though that was soon overtaken with a slap by Midnas hand across his cheek. The pain was small but Link knew she was doing it just out of frustration and he could not blame her, he knew something like this would happen.
Midna put a hand on her hip and spoke firmly. "Appearing to my home like ths, feet away from my bedchambers while I wear this clothing. I should have you dragged away from here, pulled by that dreadful looking green hat you wear. I won't though, for you owe me an explanation."
Link was getting ready to explain but before that he finally got a good look at what Midna was wearing. She was covered with a slik robe of black with yellow decorating its edges, from shoulder to waist hardly covering her slender and tall figure not leaving much to the imagination. Link did his best to look at her crimson eyes to avoid possible offense.
"I am sorry, I know this is a surprise for you. It is for me to, Zelda somehow was able to connect to this realm again, like you guys had within her garden. She mentioned that by the way, something about the same place you two would converse."
Midna looked toward a direction, almost as if she was recalling some memories. Link continued his explanation. "She led me to a big chamber with a pool of water that almost looked like a Mirror and then she pushed me into it. I appeared here and…the rest is as it is now. She wanted me to tell you she is sorry for keeping this a secret from you."
She cursed under her breath. "That maddening woman, keeping a secret like that from me." Sighing, she began to walk toward the fireplace and waving her hand. “I can’t believe this. Two years and you arrive like this.” She turned around for a moment and looked at him. “This all really is a shock to me, don’t mistake me I am happy to see you but this all so sudden…” she sighed and attempted to compose herself.
“Well, what's done is done. I guess it is not all surprising, that family has always had its secrets. I will have to see to the garden later." Midna walked to her chair next to the fire and sat one leg over the other looking at Link. "so you have told me the how but now I want to know why, why after all this time have you showed up here like this?"
Link straighten himself, summoned his courage and looked at her eyes again. "The way you left didn't feel right to me, shattering that mirror after giving me that kiss, it was cruel. As I begged you to stay you left with such a sadness in your eyes. I could tell it hurt you to do that and I could not accept it. Even so I tried to find a new purpose, I tried to move on." Link looks away for a second then back to her. "The reason why is a simple one, I missed you Midna and I wanted to see you again."
Midna takes a moment to study Link, looking at him up and down before speaking. "You seem to be alright, don't mistake my tone, I am glad you arrived here in good health but was it truly your wish to see me that drove you to seek me out like this? What if something had happened to you? How would that make me feel? Do you understand the guilt that would befall me? You were not thinking about that were you?" She looked straight at him now expecting an answer.
Link knew what she wanted. He got on one knee and bowed his head. "Youre right, I was not thinking and for that I am truly sorry. But my whole life was pre destined as this chosen one and I finally had something I wanted, I had this urge to do something that was not written by some Goddess."
Midna performed a small smirk and got up walking over to him, her long orange hair draped over her back and part of her robe slipped past a shoulder. "Oh? and what is it that you wanted?"
Link stayed kneeled but looks up, his heart begins to beat and his eyes wander. Midna looked at his blue eyes and judged them harshly.
"My, you have such a fierce look to you, it seems youre about ready to burst. Well? Out with it, I can't tease you if you dont speak. Is there something you want to say or do?" She gestures him to stand.
Link obeyed and stood up to meet her eyes and threw caution to the wind. "My reason was wanting to see you again. I…was not satisfied with that kiss." He knew she was teasing him and he wanted to try in return. "I mean come on, I saved an entire kingdom and a princess in both the land of Light and Shadow. And all I got was one kiss and a bittersweet goodbye?"
A burst of laughter came from Midna. "I see.” She grinned with her fang showing. Even in this form she had that same adorably wicked smile. “So you require more for your services? My companionship was not enough?” She let out an exaggerated sigh. “Oh woe is my fortune to have been deemed not satisfactory in the eyes of the Hero of Hyrule. For we embarked on an epic quest where we slept under the stars and for many a night we conversed but in the end he has deemed to want more.” She took her time in opening her eyes to see Links reaction.
Link blushed in a bit of embarrassment. He didn’t expect her to respond in such a bombastic way. He should have known better.
With a sigh he looked away for a few moments. “I realize me coming here was selfish and so are my reasons. You captivate me and just the sight of you is enough to leave me stunned.” There was a pause yet still he looked away. “I know making that decision was hard for you, I don’t mean to make light of that, I can’t explain these emotions too well other than just needing to see you again.”
Midna studied him then decided to speak with sincerity. “Link, look at me."
Despite his emotions, Link obeyed but no more words could leave his lips.
She looked at him, deciding to reign in some of the playful banter.
“What you said earlier was correct. It was not easy for me to make that decision and having to face you and Zelda when I made it caused that decision to be even harder to make. Over these two years I’ve mentally been able to come to terms with the fact that I would never see you or Zelda again.” She paused briefly. “Not that I was happy about it, but still I had and still have a duty as a princess to uphold.”
She waited for Link to say something but he still could not find the words.
Smiling she could not help but ask "Am I so beautiful you are left speechless again? For someone who held the triforce of courage you sure are shy. If I was not mad I would almost say it was cute."
Link was able to stammer a few words. "You're...mad?"
Midna turns away and brings to walk before stopping to think.
"Of course I am. You showing up out of nowhere like this, I have no time to prepare mentally or physically. On top of that you give me those blue puppy like eyes as you tell me these reasons of oh Midna I Just wanted to see you again. Oh Midna, I didn't like how you said goodbye." She turned around to look at him now.
"Well maybe for one second you could of thought of how I would feel if you showed up like this and prepared more with different words. I am but a simple princess, I don't desire much to be satisfied but this? Why, my mind is racing what do you expect me to say to all this?"
She turned around again. "You haven't even told me how you really feel yet."
Maybe Link desires time to think she thought, her teasing has been her defense mechanism against him but now things were different, he was here and both of them were alone. They had all the freedom in the realm in these moments. Yet Midna could not admit anything yet, that was until Link spoke.
"I love you, Midna." Link finally said, a weight lifted from his shoulders.
Midna doesn't turn around but her voice is clear. "say it again…"
"I love you, Midna…so much."
Midna wants to respond with words in kind but all she can do is respond with frustration. How dare he lay this on her now? After so long.
In a flash she is grabbing him again, Link expects the worst but opening his eyes he sees tears welling and Midnas body trembling. She is angry.
"You have a lot of nerve you know that? Coming here like this and saying that. As I said, I had no time to prepare, no warning, even so I said my goodbye and I accepted that bittersweet ending. I didn't plan to see you again. I made my peace with that but now you are here and this… why couldnt you just be happy with Zelda? I was certain you and her were…"
"Because I love you, Midna." Link said, resting his hand on hers that was still gripping his tunic.
"Shut up…fool. Cease your pretty words. Let me vent…" Midna inhales sharply and almost like talking to herself Midna speaks softly. "A moment in time like this…I thought would never occur." She lessens her grip on Link and now it is her turn to look away.
"Do you want me to leave?" Link asked with hesitation.
There is a pause. Midna looks at Link with a bit of annoyance but mostly desire. "No, I want you to kiss me."
Link puts his hand over her cheek. Leaning forward he begins to kiss her and it is not long before the kiss is returned. This is different from last time, Midna is on the receiving end of it and has to respond in kind. She hates to lose and in hope to fluster him she wraps her arms around his neck and kisses him with more force. This one lasts a lot longer than their first. When they are done, they lock eyes and both are left speechless for a time.
Catching her breath she begins breaks the silence. “Has that kiss left you better satisfied than the last one? Is that a reward befitting someone who saved not only one but two princesses?” Midna asked in a soft yet teasing manner.
Feeling bold, Link took a long breath closing his eyes and then opened them again. “I’m not quite sure it’s enough actually. Though your beauty and skills with a kiss are unmatched, I feel as if there could be more.” Link smiled after saying this, knowing it would annoy her slightly.
Midna did not laugh but got incredibly serious. It almost scared him.
“It is difficult to tease you when you say such things like that and it is annoying to no end.”
Link felt a bit of pride.
She grabbed him by his cheeks with one hand squeezing his face.
“And if you think I’m going to let such things stand you are mistaken. We may have just kissed and I may be dressed in a robe but I am in control here. You are a foolish boy who was charmed by my beauty so much you sought me out through realms only to be helped by that Zelda no less. Another woman helping you to find the one you seek? How silly is that? The princess you sought was in another castle.” Midna waited and studied him for a reaction. She let go of his face and took a step back.
Link took Midnas hand and spoke softly. He knew she was trying to rile him up and he smiled at the thought. The courage he lost was found after that kiss. “Yes you’re right, my dear Twilight Princess, I am a foolish boy charmed by you. Zelda helped me in my time of need and I couldn’t be more grateful, meanwhile where were you? Here reading a book? How could you leave your faithful green tunic wearing companion all by himself while you were whisked away happy and content here? Maybe I should go back to Zelda, after all she is smart, beautiful, and amazing at holding hands. Why she held my hand at least 3 times just before I arrived here.” He looked at her face and swore he could see a bit of pink in her ears and cheeks. Feeling uneasy about whether that was embarrassment or anger he continued. Deciding to let up a bit. “But despite all that I still chose to seek you out. I am loved and cared for by so many in the land of Hyrule but the only love and care I want from anyone in this world is yours Midna. You have been on my mind ever since that bittersweet kiss we shared and I finally had enough. Seeking you out was something I finally thought I myself wanted to do, something that was not written down or destined for me.” He looked at her crimson eyes. “Despite being from a realm draped in shadow, you are my one and only light.”
Midna took a moment to blink away whatever tears Link thought he saw and cursed again under her breath turning away. She began to walk away and passed her fire, he noticed a balcony now placed just outside the home. “Unbelievable, you insufferable foolish boy.” She pushed past the drapes separating the balcony from the living area and stared out.
Link began to feel a bit guilty, had he taken it too far? He finally had his courage to combat her teasing nature and she clearly was not ready for it. He guessed he shouldn’t feel too bad, she did start it after all. Then again he showed up unannounced and after such a tragic story book ending. This was not fair to her and he knew that but he couldn’t help it, she was so damn cute when she got mad.
Midna was the one to break the silence once again. Peeking from behind the drapes. “I expected you to follow me. Must I spell this out?” She pouted. “Fine, I will give you the honor of standing next to me. She said, turning back around with fiery hair lit up by the twilight.
Link couldn’t say no to her even if he wanted to. He walked over to her and looked out. He had never seen the city of Twili before, last time he was here was when Zant was attempting to usurp the throne from Midna. He never got a chance to appreciate the awe and beauty of the realm he had helped save. Midna moved a little closer to him touching shoulders now.
“It’s beautiful isn’t it? This realm and its people all depend on me and I don’t want to let them down.” She glanced to Link for a moment and did a quick sigh.
“I am sorry for teasing you so much. I am sorry for the way that I left you and Zelda as well.” Midna began to run her fingers along the railing. Keeping her hands busy while her words kept spilling out. “I can’t tell you how badly I wanted to stay. Breaking that mirror after that kiss was the hardest thing I have ever done. I was bound by duty and emotions tied to me and I chose them over you. I care deeply for you Link and I always have. That adventure we went on to save Hyrule and this realm was one I was never going to forget. I knew the cost of what would happen if I got attached to someone, I knew the connection me and Zelda had would be a bittersweet one and I was prepared for that. What I was not prepared for was you. For goddess sake, I was planning on using you or anyone else in my way to save my realm from Zant. But everything changed and instead of tackling these new feelings head on I instead brazened forward and did everything I was going to from the beginning. That kiss was the only difference and one thing I didn’t plan on doing.”
Link looked at Midnas eyes the best he could. “Do you regret anything?”
“No you fool, of course not!” Midna now turned to face him and grabbed both his hands. “I do not regret meeting you and I don’t regret the time we had together. Leaving you the way I did was the only thing I regret. Even so, had I not done that…it would have put both realms at risk. That’s why I made that difficult choice.”
Link began to feel increasingly guilty now, he did not blame her for any of this. He never had any ill will for her or her actions. How could he let her blame herself for this? “Midna I never have nor never will blame you for that. You shouldn’t have to feel that way for making a decision like that. I know you didn’t make it lightly and without thought. If I came off as blaming you or making you feel bad I am so sorry. I was just filled with sorrow at the thought of never seeing you again.” Link pulled his hand away gently and looked at the sky. “My whole life was destined and written out for me to be this hero and save the kingdom of Hyrule and I will never regret what I did. But after everything was said and done and you left, I lost my purpose. I didn’t have a destiny telling me what to do. I tried living in Ordon Village and even with my old friend back in Boarder City, it just didn’t feel right. I knew what I wanted and what I wanted was you.”
Midna gently pulled his face to meet hers. “I want to tell you to cease those pretty words of yours. But, considering what you’ve been through and that face youre making, I will accept them.” She kissed him softly on the lips. But then gave him a sly glance. “You know, since when did you talk so much? I think I much preferred you when you were the silent and handsome type.” She did a small laugh.
Link put his hand behind his head laughing as well. “What’s funny is Zelda said the same thing. I guess…I’ve changed over these two years or so.”
“Speaking of another princess while in the abode of another? Have you no shame? I should throw you from this balcony.” She said sarcastically with a grin. “But considering over the two years you are still the handsome light dweller I once knew, and you came all this way to unleash those pretty words, I will let this pass.”
“Handsome light dweller? Have I graduated from foolish boy?” He asked, fixing his hair as if posing for a portrait.
Midna realizing she was losing ground snapped a bit as a retort. “Foolish boy, don’t get cocky, youre lucky to be so handsome. And you’re in the presence of royalty and you should consider yourself lucky for that too. Even to be near me, much less a few feet away from my bed chambers right now.” Midna walked past the drapes and began to walk toward the stairs letting what remaining garments she had leaving her body and to the floor.
Link followed passing the drapes. “Oh dear Princess I think you’ve dropped something.” He said smiling from ear to ear.
Midna looks over her shoulder and sighed. “Yes I think I definitely preferred you when you were silent.” She placed a foot on the stairs leading up to her bedchamber. “Enough of the words. It’s time for action. Show me you really mean what you say.” She walked a few more steps then stopped again. “And for the Goddess’ sake lose the tunic and that silly green hat you’re wearing.”
Link was in awe of her sway and movement. He was stunned and she knew this. She had the body of a goddess and knew how to use it. After she had reached the top Link broke out of his trance and did as she said. Meeting her upstairs she was only standing there as if waiting for something to happen. He approached her looking her up and down. Curves and slender frame only a princess like her would own. Perfectly shaped breasts, slender shoulder, wide waist and long legs. Her hair covered some of her upper body which only enticed him more.
“Are you certain? I swear I only came to see you. It was never my intent to take advantage-“
Midna cut him off with a raised hand. “Be quiet. As I said enough talking. I know this was not your intent. This was and is my intent right now. Besides, I know you don’t have an impure bone in your body less it is inside that stupid hat.”
Link shifted it a bit. Was it really that stupid looking?
She continued. “Take me now or be forever regretful you missed your chance to spend the night with the princess of twilight.” She eyed him to see a reaction only to see him grab her in an instant.
Link kissed her passionately. Hands on waist that traveled along her curves. He stopped at the breasts to play while trailing down, breaking the kiss to kiss her neck and navel. Midna moaned softly with hands on him as well. She rubbed his member through his pants and felt it swollen with excitement. Midna was also filled with excitement with this revelation. Link really was drawn to her and he was showing it now. This was real and this moment was one she did not want to end. Link lead her to lay down and he quickly stripped, tossing his undershirt at her playfully.
Midna giggled and said “finally. No more annoyingly green tunic and hat.”
Link laughed as well as he climbed to her. “It was all part of the uniform, I had no choice. Can you blame me? I had a land to save, couldn’t afford to care of my looks.”
She pulled him close, upper and lower body touching with warmth and movement between. “And yet you still found a way to charm a kiss out of me O hero of Hyrule.”
“And what can I charm out of you this time?” Link asked, hands playing with her breasts once more.
Letting out a small moan she responded, “How about you put that mouth to use to something beneficial besides talking?” Midna pushed his head down as a signal and Link knew what she wanted.
He traveled the rest of the way down laying kisses on the way and then began to lick and down in Midnas sex. The heat and fluids from it proved she was also enjoying this which was enough to drive him wild. Midna held Links head and let out a couple moans while watching his enjoy his meal. He looked up at her, this startled her and she turned away in embarrassment. Link paused his actions and smirked. “Now look who’s shy, if I wasn't busy I would almost say it’s cute.”
Midna cursed in-between moans and shoved his head down to keep him quiet. “What did I say? No talking..” she moaned more and this went on for awhile. When link was allowed to stop mods quickly grabbed him by the hair and pulled him to her. “Ouch my princess, does this mean I can pull yours too?” She didnt respond at first, only flipped him over and proceeded to kiss him while traveling lower only to stop at his member. “If you want to, by all means.” She then began to take his member into her mouth and lather it with spit. She began to give him service while maintaining eye contact with him. link felt the challenge and grabbed her hair to pull and keep it from her work. Link moaned but let out a few words. “So much hair, this isn’t fair at all is it? Compared to mine-“ Annoyed she increased her pace trying to get him to shut up. And finally it worked. Link leaned back unable to speak, full of noises besides words and this finally made Midna smile. While Link was distracted she stopped and quickly hopped up and began to insert his member into her. Foreplay was done and she was starting off with speed. She kept the pace going, moans filled the space from both of them.
“Finally got you to shut up didn’t I? You foolish boy. Focus on me and don’t say a word.” She grabbed his hands and put them on her breasts. She clearly liked them played with and Link also did so there were no complaints from either side. Midna has began to give labored breathing and Link knew it was his turn. He sat up and pushed her down, her hair sprawled out on the bed, her chest heaving up and down with sweat and eyes full of desire. He couldn’t help but blurt out “I am sorry Midna, I have to speak and say that I love you”
Midna stroked his cheek and with a smile said “I will allow you to say that. Besides I love you so much more, Link.”
This caused a rush of adrenaline and link began to thrust into her sex with great speed. Giving her a chance to lay back and take a break, she was able to moan more and louder. Eyes closed and hands scratching at his back. Wanting to hold him close, she wished him not to stop. Link was not going to stop for anything. Midna and Link kept going till completion multiple times. They both held stamina for more than once and traveled over her bedchambers to the area below. Link put on his hat only for Midna to angrily throw it away out the makeshift window. They both melded together with joy, passion, and desire.
