New dream
I hope i got his nose rightâŚ)
"I would never-"
You would if you were tired enough. You would if you were hungry enough. You would if your mind and body had been worn down enough, through pain or disease or toil or violent struggle. You might if you were put on the wrong medicine, or you got the wrong kind of head injury, or you were forced to choose between someone else and yourself. You might if your livelihood was staked on it, or all your hopes and dreams. You might if you didn't know what else to do, if it's what you were taught or if nobody taught you anything else.
I have not been worn down in most of these ways. I have lived a remarkably privileged life. But I have been worn down in some ways. And they were enough to teach me that in the wrong circumstances, any of us can become someone we don't want to be. It's worth keeping that in mind.
No actually. Some of us would never.
History is full of people who would never. They usually died for it. But we remember them and honor them as heroes.
Some people do have those breaking points. Not everyone.
âď¸usually it is God giving us strength to bear past our natural breaking point

Hiii @3eyedfoe !!
Happy Sunkissed Gift Exchange! âď¸ I was responsible for your gift, and decided to go with TP Zelink at Ordon Spring like you had mentioned. I had fun trying to design an Ordonian outfit for Zelda!
Hope you like it!
Some Zelink sketches for now since I'm trynna get out of art block
Bonus
I think that we, as a society, moved on too quickly from that scene in Tangled where Eugene and Rapunzel are waiting for the lanterns and he holds flowers for her to place on the water surface.
The silent beauty of this scene is so poetic.
They're not talking about important stuff for the plot. They're just enjoying each others' company in such a simple way. No need for talking. He's looking at Rapunzel and sees how she's living the moment, not afraid of being outside, not worried about her mother anymore or what will come next.
And can I imagine those flowers were picked by Eugene from her braid? To show that Rapunzel is comfortable with him touching her hair since she knows he's not interested in her because of it.
I mean, where else would they have gotten the flowers? He'd already shown to be trustworthy touching her hair when he helped her gather it up when they first got into town! đĽ°
oh yesyesyesđŞđŤ đ¸â
Mother Gothel saying "Plus I believe, getting kind of chubby" while Rapunzel is thin as a twig is a really subtle sign of abuse that we don't talk about, like at all
I donât think this fandom talks enough about the fact that Rapunzel knows exactly what itâs like to watch the love of her life die in her arms holy trauma bro
The thing is, there's this moment, a few minutes in fact, where literally everything about her life has changed all at once. Pascal is the only constant. Her mother isn't her mother, and is also dead. Her hair -- the one thing she's been told her whole life is her only value -- is gone. The only person who saw beyond the value of her hair, the man she loved, is dead in her arms. The only home she's ever known is a lie, because she's actually a princess. The world is not as dark and scary as Gothel always told her, although aspects of it are (still, most of it is wonderful).
And during these few minutes, her greatest wish is that Eugene was still alive. He's been the best part of all the new things, and she just wants him back. She wants him to have not sacrificed himself for her, because what is this new life without him? She wants to face the weight of this new truth with him, and experience all the world has to offer with him.
Oh this is so pretty!!
Like Real People Do
Named after the Hozier song. I don't think they would ever get bored with the mundane things that normal people would have, without any magic, life or death stakes, divine intervention, bloodshed, or trauma. They'd live for moments that "real people" have every day, and living in itself would be novel.
Also? Rings because I can.
I made a speed paint video for this piece, too:

I donât choose ships. They choose me, and then destroy my life.
Itâs lonely bitch hours so hereâs some Zelink headcanons
Zelda loves playing with Linkâs hair. Braiding it, combing her fingers through it, messing it up and smoothing it out again⌠all of the above. And Link happens to like having his hair played with a Normal Amount so they both profit from this situation
THEY ARE BOTH SO TOUCH STARVED. even before the calamity they have so few positive touches with other people, but after? 100 years of no physical contact (aside from Link fighting things and getting injured)? Theyâre the snuggliest people ever
Like. They hug when they finally reunite (theyâre both crying, Link basically tackle hugs her, they fall over and they donât stand up for a long time because thatâs Their Person, thatâs the person theyâve waited 100 years for, theyâre not letting go, they CANâT let go) and then after that they just take every excuse to be in physical contact
Both of them have the crisis of âis this appropriate? Friends can (some kind of physical contact here), right?â Because theyâre both so determined not to cross the othersâ boundaries even if theyâre not sure exactly where those boundaries are
Thinking about Link interacting with the kids in Kakariko and Zelda observing from a distance without him knowing and her being SO SOFT because sheâs never seen him like this before
Link scavenging for every single guardian part he can get his hands on even when he doesnât need them. Even before he knows why. And then after they reunite realizing that it was because he wanted to give them to Zelda, just so he could see that sunshine smile and the way her eyes light up when sheâs making something
Link loves cooking for Zelda (taking care of her in a way beyond protection, giving her home cooked meals that are so much more personal than the castle chefs could ever be). Zelda loves watching Link cook (he hums!! When he cooks!! And thereâs something so peaceful and domestic about it and she just melts). Itâs a win win and the Hateno house always smells so good
Koroks crash their first date. Theyâre not subtle.
More to come eventually but I needed to release some of these brainworms into the world :) enjoy :)
Underused Ways to Show a Character Is Neglecting Themself
Everyone writes âthey looked tired.â But let's look closer.
Here are some quick ways to show a character is neglecting themselves (without saying "they were neglecting themselves"):
⢠They drink coffee instead of eating again
⢠They never ask for help
⢠They keep wearing the same jacket even when itâs too warm
⢠Their phone battery is always at 3%
⢠Spending a long time away from others
⢠They say âIâll eat laterâ three times in the same day
⢠Withdrawing quietly when stressed rather than seeking help
⢠Their place runs out of small things (soap, clean cups, toothpaste)
⢠Always late or overdue on bills
⢠They sleep in strange places because the bed is buried under things
⢠Using alcohol or substances to cope
⢠Overworking or staying constantly busy to avoid thinking about personal needs
⢠They stop replacing things that break
⢠Being highly critical of themselves while being extremely compassionate toward others
⢠They forget what day it is, but remember every obligation
⢠Lack of concern about their own wellbeing (acting reckless/stupid)
⢠They open the fridge, stare, and close it again
⢠Their laundry slowly becomes âthe chairâ
⢠Saying "I'm fine" to everything.
⢠Being the âlistenerâ or emotional support for everyone else, but rarely opening up themselves
⢠Someone asks if theyâve eaten and they have to actually think about it
Those are some quick tips. Reblog if you want more. Idk if people like these. <3

the dancing scene in Tangled always gets to me because like... the king and queen are grieving, this is the hardest day for them, they don't take part in the celebration other than lighting the first lantern. but she's right there she's in the town the person you miss she's in the town she's painting the streets she's singing she's playing with the children. the person you're grieving is here and she's alive and she's dancing outside your window
