I’m rereading TDA right now and I’m in the middle of LOS and like the first time I read TDA I was so mad at Kit but like now I think his trauma and just all the bad things that happen to him in a couple of months is just like brushed over (like his multiple identity crises like you’d think he and Jace would bond over that but no)
you watch your dad literally be ripped into shreds
you get told you are a Shadowhunter, people you always disliked
you move in to this random place where there’s already so much drama and Centurions are treating you like an exotic animal to gawk at and you’re like being pressured about your future
one of your besties dies and you watch that happen too (or at least I’m pretty sure he watched it happen)
your other bestie becomes pretty distant to his whole family AND you
Said other bestie wants to revive his sister which you think is a bad decision but you don’t want to lose someone else
You get rejected by your crush and get in a fight with him
you magic away ancient people and pass out and almost die
you get told “yeah not only are you a special Shadowhunter but now you’re a special faerie too and could be king”
then you run away to a foreign country
and things are different.
