Her ears perked up as she heard Adam speak, looking around where the two of them were and noticing there was nobody in sight. She let out a small laugh, tilting her head to look up at him, obviously noticing the height difference there. “A little help?” She asked as she smiled up at him. “Y’know. The height difference and all. Even standing on my toes, I don’t think I’ll be able to reach.” She teased, taking one of his hands in hers before she leaned in, waiting for him to close to rest of the gap.

Adam wasn’t sure just how serious he was until she took him seriously. It was one of those ‘I’m going to say this and if you get offended then I’m going to pretend it was a joke’ moments for him. The top of her head reached about to the bottom of his shoulders so there was indeed a height difference. A rather noticeable one. “Oh. Yeah. Right. Short people, huh?” he teased, laughing behind his smile as he made that joke. Getting more serious now, the Hall of Famer leaned down to meet the woman halfway. He closed the difference and found her lips and kissed her. He kissed her but he didn’t want to overstay his welcome either so after a couple seconds, he pulled away with a satisfied smile on his features.

The blonde felt her face flush a bit at how silly she must have sounded. Most people said that she was an easy person when it came to first impressions, but there was just something when it came to her having an actual conversation with Adam that made her seem like she was extremely awkward. “You’ve watched my matches?” She asked, smiling up at him. “I can’t even go back and watch my own matches. Something about it makes me feel weird, I don’t know. But I don’t think that it’s awkward at all. It’s nice to know that you’ve watched me wrestle.” 

“Of course I’ve watched your matches!” Adam assured. “Your matches and your promos too. You’re actually one of Lyric’s favorites. She always gets excited whenever you come on television.” He reached into his pocket because he was pretty sure he had a picture on his phone. His fingers tapped against the screen as they opened the photos app of his phone to continue his search. “I’d love it if you could meet her sometime,” Adam added as he found the picture and turned the phone in her direction so that she could see it - a picture of Lyric sitting in front of the television watching Alexa make her entrance one week.

The thought didn’t even cross his mind that there was a chance that she could be serious. He was well-aware of the sex that they’ve been having and he was even more aware that there have been a few times where they neglected to use a condom but he didn’t think much of it. “Uhhh...” the Canadian hummed as he lowered his phone and Adam thought for a moment. “I dunno...? I mean I guess I’d be happy for obvious reasons, but I don’t know. I don’t really know how I’d react. I never really thought about it but I’m certain I’d be happy.”  Adam turned his attention back to the phone in his hands as he continued to scroll through the device and since he thought she was just letting her mind wander or something, he proceded with what he was doing beforehand. “I’m still trying to find someplace we could go on vacation. I really want to find a place that has some good hiking though. That’s a muse because it’s been a while since I’ve hiked somewhere.”

"You’re doing great! Don’t worry about it,” Adam assured, laughing along with the Smackdown superstar. “Seriously. You’re fine. I feel like I’ve already met you because of how often I’ve watched you over the years.” There was a brief pause as the expression on the Hall of Famer’s face changed a little. From a more joyous expression, it changed into something more along the lines of an awkward feeling. Adam took a deep breath and sighed, chuckling under his breath right under. “And yes, I realize how awkward that sounded as soon as I said it.”

Now before you go thinking I don’t want to get married, just hear me out, because I’d love nothing more, but I also love the life we share together already, just as much.” The French Canadian paused for a moment, as she held Adam’s hand a little bit tighter, because she wanted to make sure she worded all this perfectly, so Adam would understand where she was coming from, and not think she didn’t want to spend the rest of her life with him. “I’m just worried that you feel like getting married is what we have to do, you know? I just don’t want you to feel pressured because society thinks, oh they should get married, and set an example for their children, blah blah blah, because I’m happy either way, just as long as I have you in my life. You and I just have this amazing relationship, and a love I’ve never felt before, so I just don’t want you to think I’m not satisfied with what we have, is all I’m saying. Although, I’d say yes to you in a heartbeat. Am I even making sense?”

Adam laughed at Maryse since he was always a sucker for those instances where she proceeded to ramble on and question if she was making any sense. Most of the time, yes, she was making sense but even when she wasn’t making any sense, he would tell her he was just to avoid another ramble. "I don’t want to get married because of what society thinks about marriage or... whatever the hell you just said about setting an example for our children. For your information, I set amazing examples for my children every day. No dad is more radical and awesome than I am, but if we’re being honest, no, I don’t need to be married again. I want to be married again and I want to be married to you but I don’t need to be married.” He echoed his statement once again to emphasize the statement being made. He gave her hand a little squeeze once again. A smile still held it’s place on his features. Her hand was then lifted and brought closer so that he could place a kiss against her knuckles before gently bringing it back down to where it was. “And once again: if you dare to assume I am not an awesome example for my children, I will make you regret saying that,” he said, laughing as he did.

Adam approached her from behind and he ran his hands down her arms and leaned in to place a kiss against the skin that was shown on her shoulders while the hairs on his beard to tickle her skin. “This is a new one, right?” he asked as he glanced over the gear that she was wearing and got a good luck at it. Either it was an older one she hasn’t worn in a while or it was new. He couldn’t figure it out. “I mean you look good, duh, but I just can’t figure out if it’s new or not.”

When Adam asked Lexi out on a date the other day, his one instruction was simple: dress nicer than casual but don’t overdress. Sure, that was probably a pain in the ass to figure out but it was the best that he could come up with. “Are you kidding me?” he asked with a grin gracing his features. “I look average compared to you. I mean, you looked in the mirror before you came here, didn’t you?” Adam wasn’t even trying to hide the way that his eyes were admiring what Lexi was wearing and how it complimented her so perfectly. Then again, he was biased and thought she looked good most of the time. Even back when he was married, he found himself admiring the Smackdown superstar for her looks, features, and personality. “I’m going to go check with the hostess to see if our table is ready,” Adam said as he stepped away and approached the person working the front of the restaurant. When he got an answer from them, the Hall of Famer approached Lexi once again. “Five minutes they said.”
