Tides: A Katara Zine Info
Tides: A Katara Zine is a nonprofit fanzine celebrating ATLA’s groundbreaking central female character and her development throughout the show.
As the show's titular female character, Katara embodies her element as she grows, changes, and adapts to her environment. This zine examines and celebrates Katara's growth through the different states of her element: ice, storm, ocean, and rain.
Artists, writers, cosplayers and more! If you love Katara and have something to show for it or something to say about it, we'd love to have you onboard!

Will contributors be paid?
This project is a nonprofit, so all proceeds will go to the Inuit Circumpolar Council
What is the content rating for the zine?
This zine will have a maximum content rating of PG-13 or Teen, and any potentially sensitive content will have proper content warnings.
How old do you have to be to contribute?
Contributors must be 18 years or older at the time of zine preorders.
Will the zine be physical or digital?
We will have both digital and physical options!

Madi has worked as a writing mod and interim graphics mod on Eclipse: A Zutara Zine, and contributed writing to more than five different zines including Battery: A Miyusawa Zine, Everything in Balance: An Avatar Fanzine, and Sensational Ladies: A DC Ladies Fanzine.

Hey hey! I’m Cam, and zines have their hooks in me forever. I’ve run several fandom and irl events and been part of the mod team for three zines now doing all sorts of different roles. Katara is my favourite ATLA character, and I’m so excited to be a part of a zine celebrating her!

Heylo! Name's Kensa! I've made my way around the zine scene enough times to write a book about it, but this is my very first zine in the Avatar: The Last Airbender fandom. You can usually find me milling around the Legend of Zelda or Splatoon sides of the world. I'm excited to celebrate our very favorite water bending master!
Art Mod: Sofie | tumblr (she/they)
I'm a science illustrator who works at NASAJPL, and a birder, and ATLA is super close to my heart and one of my biggest inspirations! I love drawing my OCs when I'm not drawing spacecraft or birds. I graduated from ACCD in 2017 with a BFA in Illustration Entertainment Arts and worked as a poster designer, toy designer, visdev designer and more. I also love Fortnite and I main Katara when I play.
