Little-known fact about my ability… I can’t steal your magic unless you blast me with it. So if you show a little self-restraint, which let’s be honest you’re gonna need to, all that power is yours to keep.

They COOKED
I initially thought it was so weird that Rio (of whom I'd heard she was captial D Death well before this week bc yall can't shut your trap about leaks) was so angry at the concept of ghosts because, again, she's Death. That should be her element.
But she is, at heart, an earth witch. A green witch. She reaps souls so the bodies can return to the earth and rot and feed new life in turn. She doesn't like ghosts because ghosts stay behind after their time is up. They're not physical like life on earth should be, they're not submitting to her and her purpose. They're a poison to the cycle she embodies. And it seems from Agatha's trial that she's oddly powerless to stop them.
All roads are supposed to end with her. People aren't meant to stay beyond that. They aren't supposed to turn around and walk back. She can't stand that and she's powerless to call them back once they've left their bodies behind. Agatha's element of spirit is the antithesis to hers. It is its mirror. Where she deals with the physical Agatha deals with the spiritual, the disembodied. She's more ancient and incredibly powerful but Agatha has a power that Rio simply doesn't have: she can address those that turned their backs on Death

Let's have a talk...
Over the past few days the fandom has begun to panic, worrying that the focus of Agatha All Along will shift away from Agatha / Rio or that Rio will betray Agatha or any other number of potential scenarios.
And I get it, I really do. The wlw community has been through it when it comes to wlw representation in movies/television.
But with this panic has come another type of conversation... one that states that depending on how the next few episodes go for Agatha / Rio, Jac Schaeffer can either become a hero to sapphics or an enemy to sapphics.
This kind of rhetoric, in my opinion, is unhelpful.
First of all, Agatha All Along is, at the end of the day, an MCU show under the umbrella of Disney... while Jac has ushered in some amazing wlw content so far, it is entirely possible (and also likely) that there are some restrictions as to what Jac is able to include in the show, and that if something we want to happen, doesn't happen, it's because people with far more power than Jac, said so - if this is the case, I'm not saying don't be upset. Letting our voices be heard is how things change. Just make sure your voices are directed at the RIGHT people, not at the person that gave us all they could with the freedon they were granted.
Second, while I 100% understand wanting a happy ending for Agatha & Rio, and have all of my fingers and toes crossed that a happy ending for them becomes a reality, I also think it is time that we move past the very black and white thinking of: happy ending = acceptable: anything else = unacceptable.
I am never going to tell anyone to not want a happy ending for their favorite ship, or to not be upset if their favorite ship doesn't have a happy ending... all I'm saying is that we start to think about these ships in the context of the setting they are portrayed in, that we recognize that not all stories have happy endings, but that doesn't make it a bad story, or the creator of that story, an enemy to the community/a bad person.
Take Agatha All Along for example... it's entirely possible that this story ends with something happening to Agatha or something happening to Rio or simply Agatha and Rio going their separate ways, but that doesn't have to make their story lesser... if Agatha gets the closure she needs? If Rio gets the forgiveness she seeks? Those can make a story just as magical as a happy ending.
I don't know... maybe it's just me, but as one of the very few people that actually enjoyed the ending of Killing Eve, because I never once expected it to end with them running off into the sunset together (the show literally had the tile Killing Eve and was about an assassin network that never seemed to disappear) I was able to see the beauty in the relationship they had, in the moments they shared, and in the heartache of how it ended, and I just don't want Agatha All Along to be written off as "bad" or "queerbaiting" or as "disappointing" because it might not end how people want it to.
The hand thing™️

Bonus:
I’m very upset by the lack of phone cases on Etsy or Redbubble for Agatha All Along. My phone cases shove my hyperfixations in peoples faces and I can’t right now! Come on, artists!
Not sure if anyone will remember this since it was a LONG time ago but I’m feeling nostalgic for a couple of fics I read when Once Upon a Time first came out. Any help to track them down would be appreciated!
First. It was a fic where Leopold turned out not to be too terrible. He ended up developing a good relationship with Regina. But Cora was still around. She realized that Leopold would never take advantage of Regina so she stole his heart to force him, essentially, to rape her so Regina could produce a son for him. Up until that point, they were actually sleeping together because they had fallen in love, had a few kids, etc. but when he realized Cora’s manipulations, tried to protect Regina which Cora didn’t like.
Second. Cora (before the second season happened), made her way to storybrooke. Henry had abandoned Regina but once he realized that Cora was actually the big bad, refused to leave his mom. But Cora was in complete control. Regina was a shell of herself. At some point, Cora even makes Regina pregnant as a means to control her. Henry notices this isn’t really Regina, knows something is wrong, and fights to help bring her back to herself. This fic may very well have been a ficlet written on her, but I am pretty sure I read it as a fic somewhere else.
Anyway, if anyone is able to give me some direction at all, I’d very much appreciate it!
I GOT A FUCKING RAISE THE POTATO WORKED WTF
listen. cable tv has its flaws but I do miss the spontaneity of it. like yeah I could go onto a streaming platform and search for Shrek any time I want, but something just hits different about flipping through channels at midnight and finding out Shrek is on
watching a movie at home circa like, 2001 was like
put your TV on channel 2 so the VCR will work
open up the clamp shell case that held the VHS that has that satisfying crrlikkkkkk
put in the movie
gdi it has to be rewound
press STOP and then rewind because its so much faster that way
start the movie and it takes a few seconds for the movie to actually start cause you rewound to the VERY beginning
FBI will get you if you illegally distribute or exhibit this movie
and then. because you forgot that movies are always so much louder than TV
COMING SOON TO OWN ON VIDEO AND DVD

I GOT A FUCKING RAISE THE POTATO WORKED WTF
THIS POTATO BETTER BE WORKIN
Batshit WWDITS predictions
Derek turns Guillermo but it does work so he bribes the Guide into doing it, that doesn’t work, Laszlo tries it for shits and giggles and the Nadja feels left out so she tries, none of them work either. Guillermo finds a loop hole around his dna and Nandor is finally the one to turn him (after a sort of acceptance from the vampires in his life, almost like them giving Guillermo their blessing)
Guillermo turns into a vampire but can’t enter the home anymore because Nandor won’t let him in and Nadja and Laszlo aren’t touching that (Colin is enjoying a feast)
Nandor in a fit of fury, pushes Guillermo into a stream of light and that’s how we find out he can survive in sunlight.
Guillermo can no longer say his last name so he chooses a title like Nandor (ex, Guillermo the great, Guillermo the slayer, etc.) (Nandor suggests relentless but then pretends he didn’t say that)
Once Guillermo is turned, Laszlo suddenly becomes overly interested in everything he says even if it’s stuff he already knows
Guillermo introduces Nadja and Laszlo to emo music and turns out they wrote a bunch of them.
Something goes wrong with Derek turning Guillermo, Nandor finds out and is so jealous that he starts begging Guillermo to let him turn him into a vampire
Colin remembers his time as a child and tries to make it up to Laszlo by doing all the things they used to do together (cut to awkward scenes of a grown man in footie pajamas being read to in his too small race car bed and Colin accidentally over draining Laszlo while explaining the origins of LEGO)
Laszlo goes to England to reconnect with the descendants of his bastard children and one of them is Freddie so he brings both Freddie’s back to the house
Freddie clone unzips his skin and Marwa emerges looking beautiful as ever
Nandor reads interview with a vampire
Colin Robinson joins an improv group
Nadja discovers true crime and realizes how many cold cases they’re all connected to (Guillermo included)
Guillermo just takes a room and no one notices for months until Nadja realizes that her skulls have been moved.
Nandor wishes to become human and has about a day of fun before he wants to go back to being a vampire. (He gets a sunburn)
The guide discovers bullet journaling
Sean becomes a vampire
Sean is secretly Simon the devious in disguise
i don’t like to hijack other peoples posts so i’m just gonna say that i think people who still think that nandor didn’t grow in s4 aren’t paying enough attention imo. nandor wants to change, yes! but that doesn’t mean the change is immediate. it’s going to take time for multiple reasons.
from an in universe perspective you really have to keep in mind that in a lot of ways he is experiencing emotions for the first time. he is 800 years old, even if he did love some of his wives when he was human, he doesn’t actually remember it. and if he actually had loved one of them, his unfinished buisness wouldn’t have been to be reunited with a horse. like i do not think he understands what he is feeling or why he is doing the things he is because he has never felt these things before.
but aside from that the misinterpretation that he hasn’t grown as a character comes from thinking that what nandor did in s4 was intentionally malicious, when it was not. and that why the sort of blind anger at him does frustrate me.
nandor is wwdits central character. he just is. i’m sorry but that’s why his storyline can seem repetitive. his and guillermo’s relationship is the lynchpin of the show because guillermo represents humanity to him (to the others too, but not to the same degree) so the storyline of him wanting to find love, be happy etc will go on until the end just as guillermo’s search for vampirism and belonging will until they both realize and accept that those things go hand in hand. it’s not one storyline that can be resolved in one season like other things are, his and guillermo’s journey together is the arc that threads through the whole show.
so to say he hasn’t changed because there was no “oh.” moment or because he didn’t get down on his knees and beg is mind boggling to me. there is absolutely no way that in earlier seasons nandor would have stood there, looking guilty and ashamed for what he did, while guillermo yelled at him. and not only did he hear what guillermo was saying, he actively chose (in his backwards ways) to make it right with guillermo AND he admitted he was wrong. this is a big deal. he relented. for guillermo. because he realized he had hurt guillermo when he had obviously NOT meant to! because guillermo’s pain and humanity made him stop and actually absord what he had done in his selfish actions (“stop saying things i have done.”)
nandor’s search and his growth is not over, and until you stop treating him like an actual person who harmed guillermo and marwa instead of like a character in a story you’re not gonna grasp that because being upset at nandor and being upset at how a storyline was handled should be completely different things.
he still has two wishes because he still has to learn his lesson. it just couldn’t clearer that we have ways to go and nowhere to go but up.
You gave me attention and now you have to deal with the consequences
