No escape. {Open}
Éclair still had not quite settled into the lifestyle that the hotel had forced on her. As any girl did, she enjoyed an occasional day off, but this everlasting holiday was a bit lackluster. When she had no one to help no one to save, she could not help but feel a bit lost.  In order to take her mind off it she figured she would go to the exercise room to blow off some steam.
Just as Éclair hovered passed the elevator she heard a young boy’s cry. The cry was so soft, most normal people would have no heard it, but Éclair’s heightened physical capabilities easily picked it up. It was coming from the elevator, a few stories down most likely the lobby. The mother hen’s eyes widened and she kicked into action. Éclair dug her fingers into the E Floor’s elevator doors. “Sorry hotel…while I’m pretty sure you are a living creature in some capacity…children come first.” With little effort she forced the elevator doors open and immediately jumped down into the shaft. When she landed on the top of the elevator, it shook under the force of her jump and her body weight.
From above the young man could hear a woman yell, “Sorry about that~!” Éclair unhitched the service hatch and jumped down into the elevator itself, “TA~DA!” After the woman’s grand entrance, she walked over to the crying young man. While she could have sworn it was a boy’s cry, from physical appearances she actually found it hard to tell. Though what gender the child was in front of her matter little, what did matter was that there was a child in front of her upset. “I’m Éclair…” She bent down to the boy’s level and wrapped her arms around him in a gentle embrace. “I know…I know…this place is scary…but I won’t let anything happen to you…ok?” Her voice was warm, and reminiscent of how a mother would calm down her own child. “…What is your name…?”
Chihiro could feel how the warm tears fell down his cheeks, and his sight was still blurry due to them. The elevator was slowly ascending, as he looked at the tiny key he had on his hand and embraced his laptop with trembling hands. The very thought of staying in that hotel for eternity scared him to a point the boy couldn’t even describe with words, and he couldn’t help but cry because of it. He was that weak...
The boy didn’t feel comfortable about it, but he couldn’t stop crying. He was scared of his current situation. Scared of being trapped there until he died… Even if he was in a hotel, a really good-looking one, he couldn’t go out. Chihiro left out a little whimper as he did his best to wipe his non-stopping tears.
Suddenly, the boy heard a noise coming from outside the elevator. The sound become closer, closer and even closer… As if somebody was approaching the elevator from above. Chihiro’s whole body shook as he looked at the top of the elevator. Who in earth would it be? He could feel the fear grow inside him.
TA~DA!
“H…Huh?” the little boy muttered.
He found a young, attractive woman in front of him, looking like the hero who saved the princess in that stories for children. Chihiro swallowed at the same time that looked at her, quite amazed by her strength and ability to make such an entrance on the elevator. He blinked, and just after that, she had embraced her. Her body was warm, and her arms had surrounded him softly, as if she wanted to protect him.
I’m Éclair… I know…I know…this place is scary…but I won’t let anything happen to you…ok?… What is your name…?”
Chihiro felt relieved. Even if he didn’t know Éclair, even if he couldn’t escape from that scary hotel, for a moment he didn’t care about anything. The woman’s embrace had made him feel much better, and he hadn’t even realized the tears had stopped long ago.
“Thank you…” Chihiro whispered. Even if the boy wanted to thank Éclair properly, he just couldn’t find the words. “M-My name is… Chihiro Fujisaki.”
