I misread this as "the worlds fucking and idiots together". I thought this was the start of a beautiful story about two planets, enemies to lovers, destined to unite. Two planets hate fucking but also both idiots. Who eventually fall in love in their antagnostics ways.

I came across this quote in a book I was reading, Adrift in Currents Clean and Clear by Seanan McGuire. It resonated. It made me realise that getting through your trauma and un-learning this victim mentally doesn't have to be this huge burden. It doesn't have to feel like an overwhelming chore or bitterness that I feel a lot of the time.

It can also be a delight, a quest, an adventure. Turn it into the kind of adventure I always fantasized about when I was kid, imaginning me as a dragon rider, or long lost prince, or fierce warrior. These people who also went on these grand adventures in my books who also suffered through bad times to get to where they wanted to be, to have the life they wanted to have. I want to get to the other side, and be able to say, with fierce and quiet pride... I saved myself.
