don't finish it without me
Thrifted this very cute 1997 puzzle featuring art of a town I've visited in the state. I'm a big fan of this art style in general for puzzles, so even though it was taped shut I knew I wanted to take a chance on it.
Well I was surprised a bit to find that inside almost the entire puzzle had been left completely together! Usually someone might leave some pieces together but rarely is it left stacked like this for a donation find.
Took advantage of that to check if all the pieces were there, and it only took me about 7 minutes to mend the extra pieces between each chunk. Woo hoo!!! All pieces!!!
But I also figured out why they left it:
It took me 30 minutes to take this thing apart!
The pieces are so thick and nice and snapped together so well, so when you picked it up, the puzzle was quite solid. You could have thrown it like a frizbee and it would have held together I bet!
I could've probably rushed it a bit more than I did but I would have risked damaging some of the paper or cardboard doing that, so I just took it apart one by one.
But look how beautiful these are!!! So lovely and thick, and the image is really bright too! I know the color of my photos aren't great because it was night when I was doing this, but I really think this will be a permanent collection puzzle for me.
I'll do the full puzzle on my own later and list puzzle info when I have more time to look it all up, but for now I'm very happy with this find! Kinda wanna plan a day to drive here and see if I can do the puzzle at the location and take pictures of it in the town, especially since it holds together so well.
Absolutely freaking out this weekend I found a rare thrift find! This is a vintage mini Springbok puzzle!
And all the pieces are here!!! I feel so lucky, I almost felt bad paying thrift store prices for this, but I am poor and I will treasure this in my collection.

Just finished this beauty, right on time for the National Puzzle Day (Jan 29th). It was a good day to do a much needed brain exercise. I'm a sucker for good jigsaw puzzles and there are still quite a few from my personal collection, which need to be done.
Speaking of which...
I need to own THIS puzzle next, and it's very urgent. Does anyone want to sponsor me?
Sunday, January 29, 2023 - National Puzzle Day
I’ve gotten rid of a lot of my jigsaw puzzles over the years but I still have quite a few. Probably more than I need but that’s okay.
Happy National Puzzle Day!
Yesterday I got a new puzzle and it was short a piece. This makes me very sad, because it was brand new.
My reason for not drawing much of anything or answering any asks is simple.

It is a Black Cauldron Jigsaw Puzzle I found and got so HYPED for cause you never see Black Cauldron merch EVER.
The puzzle I was working on last week was this pretty 1000 piece Thomas Kinkade Studios puzzle. Its a cheaply made basic ribbon-cut puzzle you can get anywhere that was gifted to me at Christmas, and I have another one I'll do later this year, but I really did not enjoy this one.
The cut was too generic, cardboard too thin, had some false fits, and the sky gradient wasn't distinct enough to tell the difference between color sections. Also although I grew up on Kinkade Puzzles, at this point they are all made by a studio who doesn't sign or share who these ghost painters are on their work, since the painting is designed to evoke the work of this past painter, and as an artist that bothers me.

Puzzles Nr. 1: The witch's kitchen
I was gifted this puzzle on my previous birthday and had real fun doing it. It's an exit puzzle titled the witch's kitchen, and, no this isn't a collab, just an info for those who want to try this puzzle as well.
Puzzles Nr. 2: The artist's office
Once again, I was gifted this puzzle on my last birthday, actually before I got the other one. It is an exit puzzle titled the artist's office, not an advert.
