I think Remus collects cool and interesting pens. Like if he sees a syringe pen or a pen shaped like an animal or something, he wants it. And in those fanfics where he doesn’t know how to read/write at the beginning I like to think that James and Sirius just bought a bunch of collectible pens and gave them to him as a gift to start off his writing lessons.

royal knight sirius x sheep farmer remus ✨

The story behind this illustration is royal knight Sirius going on patrol and stumbling upon sheep farmer Remus in a neighboring small village. He feels drawn to him as soon as he lays eyes on the scars that adorn his gentle face.

In this universe I imagined, werewolves do exist, as do witches. I wanted to add some fairytale elements and magic into it. So, because of his condition, Remus lives as a secluded life as possible, the only person close to him is Lily, a witch who helps him through the full moons by brewing potions that let Remus keep control of his mind during transformation.

Sirius on the other hand is the King James' personal knight, and thrives in the opulent palace life. He feels endless loyalty to his king and can't leave his duties behind.

i like the idea of remus being friends with everyone and not knowing?? and he’s friends with more people than any of the other marauders bc james and sirius are really cliquey and peter just follows them around.

so he’s friends with most of the gryffindors- especially the older years because he sells drugs to them 👮‍♂️ remus lupin in the head of the hogwarts black market

like hes obviously besties with regulus (don’t tell sirius) so he’s friends with pandora by proxy. they’re a cute friend group who talk shit together.

and then he’s ’one of the girls’ and is constantly hanging around lily, mary, marlene and dorcas. they have a book club and talk shit about the marauders and their teachers

don’t forget the ravenclaws! mf spends most of the time in the library. there r bound to be some ravenclaws who frequent the library and got curious abt the nerd with all the scars. so bc of all these new ravenclaw friends, he absentmindedly founds a whole ass study group.

then all the younger years from all the houses join said group. alongside the older years from other houses that sit in so that when the younger years leave they can buy cigarettes off of him.

and don’t forget the teachers! do u really think he doesn’t have afternoon tea with madam pomfrey, even when it’s not a full moon?

i can imagine remus spending his day pissing about with the marauders in the morning, going to his study club after school, meeting up with the girls in the common room, heading out to have a chat with pomfrey, and then going back to the dorms to listen to music with the marauders while he conspires a plan on how to sneak out to the astronomy tower to meet up with regulus and pandora later.

Everyone has a crush on Remus Lupin at one point or another. Everyone. Doesn’t matter your house, doesn’t matter your sexuality. And it always presents itself differently.

Some people realize, and some don’t. Some people play it off, let it pass. Some people let it fester, hovering as if they’d be the one to get his attention back. Their entire group of friends went through it at Hogwarts.

James was in third year. He’d gotten on the train after winter hols and suddenly Remus was 4 inches taller with a new haircut and a pack of muggle cigarettes in his pocket. Mary was after James, in fourth year after she landed on Remus during spin the bottle and got the chance to be snogged within half an inch of her life. Lily was fifth year, because she spent so much time with Remus as they were both prefects, and no one is quite sure that one ever went away. Marlene was sixth year, when Remus’ growth spurt passed her and she caught him wearing makeup after a dare from Sirius. Peter was in seventh year, when Remus was the only one in their group who didn’t let the stress of NEWTS get to him, because that cool and nonchalant intelligence really did it for him.

No one counts Sirius as a crush, because that boy fell in love the moment he tried to count all of Remus’ freckles their first night in Gryffindor.

Sirius’s first instinct after a fight with Remus is to pack a bag and leave. Not because he wants to, but because deep down he still believes love doesn’t survive anger. He grew up learning that love is conditional, that anger means abandonment. So he panics.

But Remus always catches him at the door. Every single time.

“I can be angry with you and still love you. I can need space and still choose you. Love doesn’t vanish just because things get hard.”

And that messes Sirius up more than anything.

I'm convinced Sirius loves every state, every part of this man. Like the way he loses it while studying, how his hair is a mess, the way he is so passionate. I miss drawing them a lot, and this one was like a cathartic feeling ♡
