I think if biologically possible, baseball players would chatter and chirp like cats do when tracking a fly ball

yes I put a lot of thought (and judgement) into whether a player wears the FDNY or NYPD hat every year
although we know that this year I just hyperfixated on Luisangel in his NYDS hat
I am in love with you Peter Morgan Alonso
If it's a legitimate assassination the male body has ways of shutting that whole thing down
so, every year on 9/11 when the New York Mets play, the players will wear New York first responder hats instead of their team hats. every player and manager and coach wears a first responder hat. usually we just see either FDNY or NYPD and it can be interesting to analyze the trends between who picks which. however, 9/11 first responders includes more departments that rushed to aid response efforts. one such department that is less commonly seen is the department of sanitation who were crucial in response and especially clean-up efforts. tonight, Luisangel Acuña is wearing a New York Department of Sanitation hat as his chosen first responder department. it’s not the first time a player has chosen the department of sanitation, but it is not common and I love when it happens.
i think we need to acknowledge and talk about when our favorite athletes are shitty people.
being a person of color in a white dominated fan space really feels like an echo chamber sometimes. your favorite athletes are real people that can have some really shitty opinions sometimes.
in my opinion. it doesn’t do anybody any good to pull the covers over your eyes and pretend it isn’t happening simply because it makes YOU uncomfortable. your friends and people you care about are real life effected by this shit. i’m sorry the thought of your fav being a bad person makes you uncomfortable but the idea of NOT talking about it makes me uncomfortable👍 i cannot just close my eyes and pretend it isn’t happening. i live with it everyday!
idk im tired of people trying to just ignore very real and important things just to maintain the idea they have of an athlete in their head. it’s tired!
normalise saying ''what the fuck is wrong with you'' to mean people
stop making this post cute. it's blunt and violent. it's about humiliating needlessly cruel people not about bickering with loved ones.
mlb should make widgets for the app so I can put fun things for my team across my home screen
i normally dont like to be a hater on main but i am genuinely blown away by how hypocritical and incapable of using literally any kind of reasoning skills phillies fans are
every accusation really is a confession because of course the phillies are actually unironically cheating at home LMAO
