Headcanon: The Truth Behind the Masks

Pavi and Luigi had always been close when they were young but as they grew up Luigi began to grow more and more jealous of his brother’s ease with women. One day all of the anger just erupted and Luigi attacked his little brother, marring his face horribly. As a result Pavi has been wearing the human masks ever since to hide what his brother took from him.

Another couple things I have about Graves? I like to think that his birthday is the same as Terrance Zdunich's (June 23) and that, like Terrance, he's got a fascination with cockroaches. In fact, I can easily imagine him owning the Cockroach Hall of Fame shirt that Terrance has and lounging around in it when he's not being Graverobber and just chillaxin' at his place.

I'm one of the few who thinks Graves isn't actually a hobo and has his own place. Like, yeah, I think he does, from time to time, crash in a dumpster if he feels like the GeneCops are gonna be too much of a problem for him to get home, and he's got certain people that he call his "fall-back plans" who he'll go crash with if necessary, but otherwise, he's all too glad to just go home after a night of running around and collapse in bed fully-clothed.

Headcanon: GeneCo's Commitment to Change

Amber, as the new CEO of GeneCo, forced Luigi into selling his knives and giving the money to a charity that might not even be real.  The idea was that it would prevent tabloids from finding him killing people by stabbing them to death.  She has the surGENs monitor him to make sure he doesn't sharpen/file anything down to make a shank to stab people with.  She's trying to clean up the public's image of Pavi as a lech, as well.  She intends to cut off his time and contact with the GENterns and have him marry Shilo (who Rotti actually left the GeneCo to), so that the company is still legally theirs. ~mademoiselleseraph

Headcanon: Marni's first role was...

Carmen, from the opera of the same name.

In this role, she learned how to use beauty and charm to manipulate men, and in all other ways become a confidant femme fatale.

She used this role to charm Rotti.  When he, with a young Nathan Wallace, came by to check on the dress rehearsal, they started the Habanera scene, in which Carmen sings about love in French whilst dressed as a Spanish Gypsy.  Marni nailed it perfectly, like a textbook example, except for one thing.  In the Habanera scene, Carmen is surrounded by men trying to get her attention and not-so-stoic officers who she interacts flirtatiously with.  Men from the choir were surrounding Marni, but she only looked at Rotti.  At that moment, Rotti and Nathan both fell for her.

When Mag learned of Marni's death, she brought a rose to Marni's grave, and sang a slowed-down version of Habanera as a funeral song.  It moved the GeneCo chauffeur and footman to tears.  They didn't know that it was Mag's way of telling Marni that she knew she died for loving the wrong man, and vowed vengeance. ~mademoiselleseraph

Headcanon: Marni and Mag were the ultimate best friends...

Marni and Mag were the ultimate best friends. The only reason why Marni got involved in a relationship with Rotti was to give Blind Mag the gift of sight. In gratitude, Mag, who secretly loved Nathan, allowed them to have a relationship and helped hide their affair from Rotti.

Headcanon: Nathan’s favorite book is Les Miserables...

Nathan’s favorite book is Les Miserables. It’s part of Rotti Largo’s “list of banned books," but Marni stole a copy from the Largo mansion when she was still dating Rotti and would read it with Nathan every night during her pregnancy with Shilo.
