I recently read a book, that was about the lack of IED (Improvised Explosive Device) Defusers in Afghanistan. The Bomb Defusers that are there are heavily overworked, heavily pressured and have the most dangerous job in the world, defusing bombs hidden by Taliban. The man in the picture is Staff Sargent Olaf Schmid - he defused over 70 bombs in Afghanistan - a record. He died from being blown up by an IED and was awarded the George Cross. His fellow soldiers believe that Olaf was overworked, stressed and tired which led him to a preventable end. I just thought that we should give a minute of thought and praise to any other Bomb Defusers currently in service, and may God be with them.
The is the .30 Caliber Browning M1919A4 Machine gun - it is a personal favourite of mine, mainly due to the part it played in Saving Private Ryan. It was a very common machine gun and still is, although it has been overtaken by its predecessor the Browning .50 Cal, the more powerful machine gun of today.
This is the De Lisle Commando Carbine - not well known but still played its part in military history. It was in service from 1943 to 1965 and it used .45 calibre ammunition. The british commandos used it in WW2 for one primary reason - the De Lisle Carbine was extremely quiet, making it useful for stealth missions at the time. It is often recalled as one of the quietest guns ever made.

This is my Blackviper Elite BB Gun - it is based on the M1911, it holds 12 BB's (0.12g), has safety lock, is spring loaded and has a good FPS of 350. Quality gun, highly recommended. There are some mods or upgrades, I thought about getting an extended magazine but I thought it was a bit too clunky for me.
The M1911 - This gun has been in use in the US military since 1911, as in the name. Its uses .45 type ammunition. It has served in many wars through the years, including WW1, WW2, the Korean War and Vietnam. However, after Vietnam, the US military wanted a handgun that used the more common 9mm round, so after trials they stopped using the .45 M1911 and switched to using the Berreta M9. The M1911 is still used in some special units in the US army.
This is the 7.62 Tkiv 85. It is heavily based on the Mosin Nagant rifle, used alot by russian forces in WW2 as a sniper rifle. The Tkiv 85 is only used by finnish defense forces, because the Tkiv 85 is one of the only military weapons that uses 7.62x53mm rounds, whilst most other weapons use the more conventional ammo 7.62x54mm rounds - weapons such as the PKM and Dragunov Sniper Rifle.
