Maybe this is my gatekeeping opinion of the day or maybe it's just my autism talking, but I genuinely don't understand how people get obsessed with a piece of media and don't want to explore more versions of it or, you know, at least the original work. As a person who doesn't dare to call themself a fan of anything until I've read/watched at least the original of something if I first interacted with an adaptation, it's so weird to see people going like "Oh yeah I'm totally obsessed with Les mis! I still think Marius and Enjolras are besties and Marius is involved in the revolution". Well thanks for telling me that you haven't seen more than the musical. How can you be obsessed with something if you haven't at least checked just another version of it??? Where does the obsession part come into play if you don't feel curious about other versions of the story? Idk it feels so weird to me.

in my eyes the amis speculation on exr is never complete unless there is a moment where they’re all arguing about how sad it is that R is pining and Combeferre from the corner is like:
