Russian Doll Productions is an independent film production company headed by Lauren Batschowanow, a performance practitioner and film maker. She owes her training to former Theatre Nepean UWS (Bachelor of Performance) & Contemporary Music Center in Musical Theatre.

Russian Doll Productions aims to merge the two extremes of mainstream and the avant-guarde to reach a wider audience by sharing stories that challenge previous conceptions in an unconevtional manner simultaneously connecting to an audience with subject matter that is relevent, truthful and of course entertaining!

Presenting Peita Breese! Peita Breese is a respected member of the burlesque community as an agent to Australian burlesque performers and pin-up models, and former burlesque performer and model herself. More recently moving into film as a featured Extra in a range of films including a large scale Hollywood film and video clips for such artists as Cold Chisel, The Basics and Yolanda Be Cool. With natural grace, cat-like sensuality, and flexibility, blended with her creativity and hyper vibrancy, Peita remains a natural performer all round.

Presenting Naomi Hibberd! Born in Sydney (Australia) Naomi graduated with distinction from The Royal Academy of Dance. She trained at The Rambert school of Ballet and Contemporary Dance (UK) graduating with a first class Bachelor of Arts Degree. Naomi has worked with Kerri Nicholls (UK) and Mark Baldwin (UK) performing at the Royal Opera House (London). Awarded the Charlotte Kirkpatrick award in 2010 and in the same year went on to tour with Rambert Dance Company to perform Itzik Galili's, 'A Linha Curva'. Naomi then went on to join Balbir Singh Dance Company (UK). In 2011 she played the lead roll of Bird in Dede Veldman's 'Peter and the Wolf' European Tour (Netherlands). While in the UK she joined DIRO Company as part of the 2012 Olympics performing 'Road Show' as well as working with choreographer Anna Buonomo's on her recent work 'Story of a night Pianist' (UK). In 2013 Naomi returned to Australia invited to co-create company, Basement Productions premiering their first work 'The Catastrophists' at the Seymour Centre for the Sydney Fringe Festival. She is currently dancing with Sydney Ballet Theatre as well as an International member of Untitled|Collective .

Presenting Lenny Hewitt! Born in Sydney, Australia and from an early age embraced the spotlight, dancing her way through some hard and trying times. Raised by her father, with the assistance and influence of her maternal grandparents, some of her earliest memories are of nights spent dancing around the living room with her father, teaching her rock'n'roll dancing and installing in her a love of music and dance which would continue throughout her life. Lenny made her first TV appearance at age 9, playing an original composition on an educational TV show and though the part was small, Lenny fell in love with performing. Since then she has performed with dance schools as part of half time entertainment for NRL games, won a state title as a gymnast and has travelled to Movie World on the Gold Coast to dance. Studying performing arts, psychology and education at university has lead her to become a performing arts teacher, passing on her passion of drama, music and dance to a variety of students. She has coordinated two large shows, has successfully entered students in the School Spectacular and even been approached by international groups to choreograph performances for them. Lenny had no idea that her love for drama, music and dance was hereditary and after many years of searching and hunting through her family tree, Lenny has been able to trace her lineage (great, great grandparents) to a famous African-American vaudevillian performer named Jolly John Larkin, who died in Los Angeles in 1936 following a career that included appearing in over 50 films for both Paramount and MGM, touring the world in stage productions, writing songs and living the good life of a successful performer. He was one of the first paid African-American actors appearing in mainstream films. She decides to follow in his footsteps and make a foray onto the screen and has performed in the web series LARP: Crowblade Chronicles (release date 2014) as Brenna the abroad, feature film True Face (release date 2014) as Andrea, Tough Love as the lead character, Corrine, and the films Hidden Peaks and Other World, both with speaking roles. A licensed reptile handler and diver, Lenny has a soft spot for the misunderstood creatures of our world, snakes and sharks, despite having been bitten by both. Coming face to face with a Great White Shark on a dive one day and watching it circle her in the water was one of the most thrilling and awe-inspiring experiences of her life. She is a laid back, adventurous performer, who is so easily able to see art in every aspect of life and nature.

Lauren Batschowanow aka Lady DeVine known on fb as Ladie Devine Lauren is the writer/director/producer and performer for Russian Doll Productions' feature film Resplendent Fatales. She describes herself as an apologetically passionate practitioner of the performing arts. Lauren is musical theatre trained and graduated in 2009 with an acting degree from UWS (former Theatre Nepean). She has a broad range of experience including performing in a hip hop dance crew competing at Grooves 2010. Lauren was a drama teacher for ages 4-24 for 2 years, she has performed as a lead singer in metal bands, cabarets and open mic nights. Lauren has been film making since 2010, with her Tropfest entry 'Click Your Heels', an avant-garde piece about finding your creative spirit amongst a mundane city life, which she devised, DOPed, directed, edited, produced and performed in. Lauren is also a visual artist in painting and drawing, and in the last year she has made her transition into the world of burlesque bringing to life her performance persona Lady DeVine. Lauren doesn't like to segregate herself into any specific area of performing arts and that is the motivation behind devising her own work. She strives to create work that is highly inclusive of various aspects of art and loves collaborating with equally passionate practitioners. Lauren understands the challenges faced in the film industry - it is these challenges that drive her to do her work. Lady DeVine is a deadly fusion of demure and diva. Prepare to be devoured!

Presenting the gorgeous Diamond D'Amour! Diamond D’Amour is a former Can Can dancer that has high kicked her way into the sensual world of burlesque. A fully faceted character, you will see glints of warmth, vulnerability and a slight smirk amongst her elegant wrappings. Diamond D’Amour shines most when performing burlesque en pointe, or adding a neo contemporary sheen to her acts. With performances at Mr Falcon's, The Marilyn Monroe Festival, Sydney Tattoo Expo, Pin Up Kittens magazine launch, Red Light Confidential, The Backroom, Three Creeks Cafe, The Peel and Black Cherry already under Diamond’s sparkling belt, this upcoming artist is an unstoppable force. Diamond also competed in the prestigious Miss Burlesque Australia competition in 2013 and 2014. She has also frequently performed in Wollongong’s Green Poppy, The Commercial Hotel and City Diggers Club. Diamond is also co-founder and producer of The Velvet Heist, a performance collective in Wollongong NSW. The Velvet Heist produce their own shows and teach burlesque classes. Be prepared to be dazzled by this burlesque dancer of love. She may be cool and glamorous on the outside, but her inner warmth truly makes her a girl’s best friend.
