This year has been a very rough one to say the least. I have dealt with a lot of personal struggles as well as societal struggles that are effecting many of my friends in more ways than one. The term “we have to do better” has really helped me in getting through this year. Calling out the bad ideologies, standing up when necessary, and fighting the good fight is how this year has panned out. Am I tired? Yes. Am I giving up? Absolutely not! 2018, I will continue to fight for my beliefs and stand behind basic human rights. Little victories are still victories. Let’s hope that 2018 brings about the change we need.
