Please think critically about this: if you claim a woman who is not traditionally feminine or is even more traditionally masculine is undoubtedly a lesbian, what message are you sending to society and young women? That heterosexual must submit to men’s wishes? That heterosexual women must be delicate and dandy? That heterosexual women have to cater to men’s wishes no matter what those are? That they should just enjoy being trapped into a prison of femininity? And if they want to wear baggy, men’s clothes and cut their hair that must mean that she is not interested in being with a man? These stereotypes stem from internalized misogyny: that according to which, if a woman is attracted to men, she must sexualize herself and be catering to their physical expectations of femininity instead of her mind or anything else being valued.
Please stop policing what wome wear and try to turn it into a statement about their sexuality. You’re only perpetuating sexism. Ask, don’t assume/ perpetuate sexist stereotypes.
