Does this mean that Steven is no longer Pink Diamond in this AU?

That’s right! Several of the Gems will be changing gemstone type, and Rose Quartz happens to be one of them! Pink Diamond will be a separate character altogether, so Steven’s eventual interactions with the remaining Diamonds will be... different, to say the least.

Here’s Steven for Rewrite Universe!

Steven’s biggest change is his gem - it becomes a Star Rose Quartz cabochon, instead of a faceted Rose Quartz(/Pink Diamond). Everything else about his appearance is pretty much the same. I think I made his shirt more pink and less red... but, yeah, he’s still very Steven-y. Hope you like him!

Hello Again!

This is the new blog of Rewrite Universe!

In case you’re new here, Rewrite Universe is my silly AU that reworks Steven Universe’s canon! I had a lot of ideas for plots, fusions, and other nonsense that just doesn’t fit with canon, and that’s why I’m making this AU - it’s not meant to be better than canon, just... different!

All the main characters will be pretty similar to canon, but with little tweaks and changes here and there. Secondary and minor characters might change more majorly, though - some even have new names! In those cases, I’ll be tagging both the canon and AU names, for clarity’s sake.

This is all for fun, so please don’t start drama!

If you have any questions about the AU, just ask! I won’t be answering spoiler-y questions, because some things shift pretty majorly from SU’s canon and I want them to be a surprise for the future. But feel free to ask even if you think something might be a spoiler; it’s always worth a shot, right?
