Satu tahun lalu. Gadis itu meringkuk di balik selimut. Meradang pada sebuah parasit. Dan bernyanyi dengan lantunan pahit. Dua tahun yang lalu. Gadis itu menari gemulai. Memakan permen warna-warni. Sembari menemaniku merokok di ujung senja dini hari. Lalu kita mulai berbaring dalam harapan-harapan parau. Tiga tahun yang lalu. Masih saja ku lihat gadis itu tersenyum Meratapi hidup yang terkadang pun kejam. Empat tahun hingga bertahun-tahun yang silam. Bahkan kami masih terlalu malu untuk saling bertanya. Saling melirik, berpikir "siapa dia?". Hingga akhirnya kita bermain dan memanjat tembok-tembok sekolah. Sepuluh tahun yang lalu. Bahkan hingga saat ini. Kami rasanya masih sama. Gadis gemulai penyayang. Dengan Aku seorang keras kepala. Dan bersama antek-antek egoistis yang lain. To you, I'll give you a virtual "Very Happy Birthday", Nil 💐

I think maybe the best way of doing anything is to value the process itself. If we do so, we no longer need to worry about achieving the desired result, having gone through the process itself is enough to make it worth it.

Rindu memang menyesakkan. Kali ini bukan pada rindu macam cin-ta(i). Aku rindu Bapak-Ibuk yang dahulu menimang sekedar setahun-dua tahun. Semisal hadirku pun tak tersebut dalam selembar perkamen tipis, biasa. Gemelut asa pun siap sedia dan berjuang adalah esensi hidup.

Sembari menata rambut kuncir kuda, aku mengaca pada genangan air bekas hujan semalam. Setelah selesai, ku raih tulang punggung belikuk yang tergeletak diatas lemari plastik. Ku ambil, ku temukan dan ku pasang sendiri.

Bersama permadani koran bekas, terjejer di pinggir jalan beraspal. Ku lupakan rasa rindu tadi. Secara gemulai ku lentingkan jemariku, merdu suaraku menjual pada tiap mobil kaca tak tembus pandang. Tuan dan Nyonya maupun Nona mengangkat tangan, mengusirku. Aku pergi. Lalu aku tertidur hingga malam bersama angin-angin berbisik dan berderu.

Kembali rindu juga merangsak pada Bapak-Ibuk. Pikiranku jauh melayang, hingga aku lupa harus pulang mengurus seonggok daging yang ditinggalkan Bapak-Ibuk untuk jadi temanku. Aku pun berlari. Namun tlah lelah, aku pun melayang. Melayang ke atas, dan tak pernah sampai pada seonggok daging yang ku sebutkan tadi.

I’ve been trying to find beautiful poetic ways to tell you how much I love you and how much it hurts now when you’re gone. But I can't. Because I've come to realize that there are no beautiful poetic words that I will explain to you, just how badly you broke me that day. It's hard. Cause, every time I remember you, I have to relive it. The awfull jokes and all the amazing memories with you. There aren’t any words to explain how much I miss all of those things either. They are just gone now, like you are so. I just have to tell you about something, it is really fucking horrible. Everytime when I know you're gone. Every single day. Orang yg paling seneng direpotin sama Eca. Kadang nyenengin, tapi kadang bawel kayak eyang kakung, atau lebih manja dari dedek gemesz zz. Suaranya lucu kalo bilang kangen, suka ngerengek minta dimanjain (meskipun seringnya aku yg ngerengek ya). Multitasking banget!
