The stressful air that clouded around her could easily be mistaken for confusion and grogginess, and Cu just smiled a little as she sat up.

“It’s fine. I was just surprised to see you, that’s all. It’s not every afternoon I get back from work and find someone chilling in my room.” Well, someone that wasn’t furry or made mostly of mud, anyway. “And yeah, we can hang out. I just gotta change out of my work clothes first.” He stretched, trying to suppress a yawn. It’d been a long day, but he’d have plenty of time to rest later.

“Do your parents know you’re here…?” He asked, immediately knowing the answer was probably ‘no’, since she couldn’t just tell her parents she was ‘going to Japan to hang out with a 20-something year old’. But overprotective instincts were hard to break.

“I’m not looking for anyone specific… just, a magus in general.” Someone who might provide him with a contract, and therefore a purpose. With Medb gone, he wasn’t sure what he was supposed to do now, nor what he wanted to do with himself.

“I thought, since you knew of Cuchulainn, you might be a mage yourself… But it seems I was mistaken. Sorry for bothering you.”

He turned to leave, unaware as one of his tail-spikes caught on the yarn of the girl’s sweater…

“Why’re you looking for a- HEY!” As soon as she felt the tail-spike catch her sweater, she reflexively grabbed his tail and held on. “Wait a minute!”

The yarn was coming undone! Yeah, she had a shirt on underneath, but she worked hard on this one; hours of blood, sweat, and tears went into it! And it would only take a matter of moments to completely undo all of it. And so, she clung to it like a beetle, hoping it would minimize the damage. “Can you just lemme fix this before you go?!”
