Robin for will, and Lucas for mike

Ok so, lesbianmindflayer made a byler video recently, and mentioned in passing the possibility of Lucas being the one who helps mike come to terms with his sexuality, like robin did for will, and maybe even be the one to set the pair up. That got me thinking, and I feel like there is actually a decent amount of evidence that does actually point to this!

Starting from season 3, Lucas has always sort of been Mike's guide in navigating romantic relationships, and Lucas basically was a coach of sorts and told mike what to do when el was mad at him, and from the dialogue between them, it seems as if it isnt the first time. Lucas even asks mike why he didn't first consult him before lying to el about his nana. Plus, to apologise after the rain fight, its Lucas who accompanies mike to will's house, and Lucas is also the only one of the two who actually apologised to will (mike tried but will was at castle Byers, and then the mind flayer stuff started so there was no resolution to that. wonder if it will come up later. anyway) and said the d&d campaign was nice, maybe even sort of on mike's behalf. sadly dont see much more of this in s4, but at the end, mike and will hug Lucas together, and Lucas gives them a slight look. that much I could be reading too much into, but it is true that they hug him as a pair, with Lucas in the middle, facing them. Season 5 has more hints for this. Starting strong with the very first 20 minutes. (god no wonder we have no byler interactions in the trailer theyre too obvious) ofc we know the very obvious look Lucas and dustin give to mike when mike gives Lucas a look when will has that vision through holly's eyes, and Lucas retracts his hand before giving mike a "geez ok bro" stare. Plus the part where mike is just waiting for will to put his hand on his and then Lucas waits for a second before just putting his own down first, and then just. staring into mike's soul. Lucas at the very least suspects something is up.

It's also Lucas, who very obviously breaks the 4th wall, and tells us, as well as mike and Nancy that he doesn't believe in coincidences. Aka, telling us that the details aren't random. they matter. as they always have. Lucas and mike have also spent a decent amount of time being paired up this season. And, as pointed out by lesbianmindflayer, it's Lucas that opens the trapdoor and says 'open sesame', after which we immediately move into THE field scene. It's also Lucas who accompanies mike when he hits the pipe, which ofc is very much a symbolic representation for feelings and them bursting forth. It's Lucas who helped mike carve out that part of the tunnel, and then mike who eventually hit the pipe itself, causing it to burst. At the end of episode 4, when will gains his powers, The three people getting attacked are, Robin (will's mentor in a sense, in terms of his queer identity), Mike (the literal love of his life), and Lucas (who could very well act as the catalyst for mike's self acceptance, and has already been mike's mentor in terms of romance for a while)

So. this is my proof as to why Lucas will perhaps play a vital role in Mike's queer journey, and help act as a guide for mike, like robin was for will.

The Adventures - Not - of Y/N

On some significant date in history, two people who probably were supernatural or something copulated and 9 or 10 or 8 months later I was born - guess what I'm an orphan. Imagine that. I grew up NORMALLY and NOTHING WEIRD ever HAPPENED. See the trick here is to deny everything the universe throws at you, give the middle finger to destiny. Yada yada.

My name .... Is Your S. Name. The S stands for Slash. And you can probably guess exactly what I look like. Female, pale skin, long wavy blonde hair, small hands, I'm 4'6" with blue eyes - you get it. Look, the fact that my parents named me, "Your Name" should've been the first red flag - but then again I was a baby. Object permanence hadn't even been established yet. Also when I was a baby someone or something probably stole me or I was sold into slavery under some rich guy with a young son - no, none of that happened. Once again - if you're in my position - deny reality.

I go to a NORMAL high school with ... Weirdos - oh here they come now -

This happens everyday multiple times a day. Consequences of being named Your Name. I have two best friends though, to share in my suffering - Main Character and Love Interest. See it's really funny when Love Interest and I met because he said, "I'm supposed to date you but I'm gay sorry," and I knew from that day we'd be besties in this hell hole. And Main Character? He suffers more than me - for instance, yesterday:

Don’t go with ANYONE who says they’re from an organization, foundation, secret society, cult, past or future - don’t join any clubs, do NOT do any sports, keep your grades average, and if a really sexy shy girl bumps into you and spills all of her books, keep walking.”

“But that sounds kinda rude-”

“Exactly. A main character would be nice and apologetic and help her pick up the books as she shyly brushes her hair behind her ear - DO NOT do that. Be an asshole - but not so much of an asshole that you become an anti-hero or some shit. Just - do the opposite of what you think you should do - ok? It’s like me and Love - friendzone forever.”

“Yeah dude - just make it through highschool, and hopefully things will get better when we’re full adults - most main characters start as kids or teenagers - we can get through this.”

Name ✨Stellar the Hedgehog✨

Basic Description The product of Project Stellar—a secret government operation aiming to perfect Project Shadow—Stellar is a genetic experiment combining the DNA of the Ultimate Life Form and the fastest thing alive. Designed to be a living weapon, Stellar was born in a hidden facility where she would have been raised to be an unstoppable weapon for the military. Thankfully, Shadow the Hedgehog (with help from Rouge the Bat) discovered her existence, destroyed the lab, and rescued her as an infant. Shadow then went on to begrudgingly inform his long-time rival, Sonic the Hedgehog, of their newfound child, seeing as she was technically just as much Sonic's problem as she was Shadow's. From there, the duo (along with help from their friends) raised Stellar as their daughter, sheltering her from the knowledge she was created to be a force of destruction for her masters. Along the way, Sonic and Shadow found themselves truly falling for one another, dissolving the barriers they had placed between one another as rivals, finding new appreciation for each other in their new parental roles.

Stellar herself is a bright, warm-hearted person. She has a strong sense of justice and never shies away from standing up for what is right. She takes after Sonic in personality, always cracking jokes and finding it hard to sit still. Despite this, she inherited Shadow's finesse and ability to plan out her choices, not to mention his abilities to utilize chaos energy. She has a love for figure skating, ballet, and make up (thanks to Auntie Rouge!), but don't let her feminine side fool you, she is not afraid to get her hands dirty! She would love nothing more than to spend her day smashing badniks into the ground with her skates if her dads would let her! Stellar loves both of her parents dearly, but sometimes wishes that they wouldn't be so protective of her. After all, what could they possibly have to be worried about?
