okay hot take but, coming from a black girl i really don’t like black reader fics. don’t even get me wrong, some r actually good and i will always be grateful for the representation. but the way black reader is represented in fics is just so disappointing. almost every black reader fic that has come across my feed just feeds into the negative stereotypes of black women and slurs are always being thrown around. atp its honestly just disrespectful. not gonna tag the person but i just saw someones blog that writes for black reader, and all of their fics are literally just filled with internalised misogyny and blatant racism. this person won’t even mention race they are. like i understand if you don’t wanna tell anyone about that but if you’re gonna keep your heritage hidden, don’t constantly use offensive slurs that only specific communities are allowed to use.

Like the reader is always so one dimensional and is always the same stereotype of black women portrayed on TV : sassy, "agressive and ghetto" (lemme not even start w those ones) loud and outgoing. Although there isn't inherently wrong with being loud, outgoing or sassy, it feels like that's all there is to black women esp when it comes to AA women in particular I notice (not AA btw im 🇳🇬 ethnicity wise).

I wish there was acc more representation for girles that don't necessarily match that stereotype of black women cus black women nd WOC in general are NOT A MONOLITH !!!

I could also talk abt how x black fem reader fanfics nd writes r always abt either sex of money but alots of the time DRUGSSS 😓
