I’ve been told to straighten my hair cause curly hair is ugly I’ve been told to lose weight because fat girls are ugly I’ve been told to tan because being too pale is ugly So I straightened my hair till it had no more life, I starved myself until I lost 50 lbs and I burned my skin under the hot sun till I was bright red. It’s taken me years to recover and finally I understand I’m perfect by just the way I am.
