What is your trauma archeotype?
The Devoured
Your trauma is consuming, fiery, relentless. It burns through relationships, through safety, through peace of mind. Yet even in ruin, you shine with a dangerous intensity.
what type of timeless space are you?
stepping out of the cinema and it's dark out
It was daytime when you went in, now, it is dark. Time shouldn't pass out here when you're in there. You don't feel unsettled by it. It feels refreshing. The cool evening air resets you. A reset button on the constant awareness of time passing. Time is a canvas to be played with, time is a potential to create great things. You seek colour in your life, you spend your time on beautiful things. Useless things become useful if they are beautiful, because beauty is what inspires us. And you do, too. The time you spend living is beautiful, it is a testament that you are creating life. You are creating your own life and building it with memories and beautiful pieces of art. Time is confusing, surprising and upsetting at times, but it is a space to create, it is an opportunity to give time to your friends, give time to yourself, give time to the world.

She had to admit it was a bit stylish. It managed to blend both a modern look with something out of all those things kids tried aspiring to be back in school. That alone would give him a few brownie points, in anyone's eyes but Lich's
"You trying to cosplay something?"
@rideonredscarf | s.c
Lighter glances over at the young lady, complimenting his scarf and then talking about some friend of hers. A fan? He's reminded a lot of the people in Lumina Square, who would often approach him and gush about this n' that or ask for his autograph. He never really got why, but went along with it anyhow. No harm no foul.
"This old thing? Nah, no cosplay. A good pal of mine gave it to me as a... welcoming gift of sorts." Big Daddy knew what he was doing, giving someone as strong as Lighter something as flashy as this. The 'Red Scarf' became a moniker faster than he could keep up with.
"Your friend has good taste, though." He smirks a little.
@curseshared > @rideonredscarf
there's a silence on the ground floor.
the encampment reminds fiyero of the yawning portal, in a lot of ways. loud chatter of adventurers, food and drink and the sparkle of excitement in everybody's eyes. a fight or two, occasionally.
but it's quiet here. there's only the soft grinding of sand underneath his boots, and the air snapping past his ears when he flicks them around. this room, he's been in before, but he's still cautious not to get surprised.
there's still a big grin on his face. his powers may be limited, but there's newfound confidence in planning to clear these rooms as he is. and of course, with some help.
looking at his two new companions, fiyero gestures at the golden door in the very back of the room.
' we start here. we're all equipped, yes? let's go over it one more time. our roles, so to speak. there's no knowing what we'll actually come across once we enter. '
What a beautiful room... of course, she's seen it before, but the elaborate detailing on every sandstone piece is something Lilith could get lost in for hours. Now, however, she gives herself only a moment to admire it before fixing her gaze on the party leader.
Charming fellow, she thinks. His demonic appearance earns more respect, not less. As for the human... he advertised himself as a professional fighter.
This places Lilith in the role of the mage for their odd, tall group.
"I've prepared the best I can, not knowing what's past that door. My spells are all right here—" in a bundle of papers with glyphs pre-drawn, just the way Luz would do. "But I've been clear: I am a scholar first, here to study this place; I don't want to fight if I can avoid it."
@rideonredscarf >> @viladlind
The starting room is nice,reminds Lighter a bit of home with all the sandstone and whatnot. Lots of people, though, vendors all around yelling about their wares and how one is more effective than their neighbors. It's also bright, surprisingly so for an enclosed space that feels so earthy, and Lighter pushes his sunglasses up a bit more.
"All good over here." He nods, though Lighter wasn't much in need of prep. Without his gauntlet, he fought with his bare fists like long ago. Some spare wraps to go under his gloves, a couple of rations just in case, and he was good to go.
"Loud n' clear, Lil'." He nods toward the mage, who initially hired him as protection from potential monsters while she studied the inside of this dungeon. Fiyero was a coincidental addition, but already took role as leader, which Lighter had respect for.
The demon-man, almost Thiren looking guy, held himself with confidence. Seems like he was used to the role, thankfully.
"Let's get a move on, then, yeah?"
@viladlind >> @curseshared
❝ oh... ❞ phiore steps out from behind lighter to give the painting a curious peek. their first thought upon seeing it is rather grim, that perhaps the woman's wine was poisoned by the strange man in the scene's background. and so they frown somewhat, feeling a strange sympathy for her. ❝ are we uncovering a message? or... a picture? ❞ to hopefully answer their own question, they try to get closer to the pieces constantine has in his hands.
❝ and there's one, two... ten pieces? ❞ softly, they gasp! ❝ you're right! there's only a handful of possible answers. i know we can solve it! ❞ @uwps001 -> @rideonredscarf
Constantine continues to look through the pieces that are provided to them. "Each one's got different pictures on them. I'm guessing it's a story." He looks up at them in his crouched position, "I'm not really good with these story-based puzzles." It's not something he likes admitting, but he was good with his hands when it came to fixing or building things. Story-based stuff or puzzles were more of Celine's thing. Not his.
"Lighter, what do you think?" he's motioning for the guy to come closer so he can come help.
- @rideonredscarf - @phiore
"Mm, well... Always start from the edges with puzzles, right?" Lighter brings a hand up to his chin and looks over the pieces. They're all perfectly square, but some of them have gold trim on one or two sides, indicating the edges of the mural. Lighter grabs one of them, and pushes it to a corner spot, so the gold edges are outlining the image.
Nothing happens, so he slides it to a different corner. There's a click, and the piece sinks in, no longer movable. Lighter puts his hands up in a 'ta-da'-like pose.
"All in a days work."
@phiore - @uwps001
Comedies weren't exactly his thing. If he were to watch a live performance, he'd much prefer watching a drama, an opera, anything else. Yet, there was very little for the man to do to pass the time, and he may as well try and find something- which is how he's found himself here.
His seat of choice is near the back, closer to the aisle. It wasn't preferred, but at least there weren't too many obstructions before him. Desmond sits with one leg crossed over the other, only perking up when he hears someone asking him a question.
"Ah, no. Go ahead."
"Thanks." Lighter gives a polite nod, and takes the seat next to the stranger. Other seats, start to fill around them as well, as the night seemingly starts to near it's peak attendance for the amphitheatre. When the lights start to dim, Lighter takes his shades off, folding them and hooking an arm of it into his shirt to keep them safe.
It's dim enough that the lights don't bother his eyes, especially when they darken further as the play starts. Lighter is quiet, and briefly wonders what exactly is playing. Something about residents?
There's a sound of motorcycles, and as the curtains part, the stage has props that make the setting look desert-like. A woman-- very well endowed-- runs on stage and is followed by a handful of others.
"We are the Sons of Chalcedon! We're going to WIN this bike race!" 'Ceasar' says, and Lighter... just sinks lower into his seat. Great. Okay. This is going to be a night.
"But, Ce, where ARE our bikes?" 'Lucy' says, and the girls gasp before comically running off stage, clown-like music following.
He's pissed, he lost his lighter - his favorite lighter - probably in that damn scuffle with that jerk trying to hold up the bodega. They might serve piss-poor food that gives you the shits, but everyone's gotta make a living.
Luckily, a hero rides in on a red scarf.
"Yeah, damn." He grabs the lighter, quickly flipping it over to open it and light his own cigarette before a 'thank you' can even be a thought. Taking a drag, it's his second - or third - thought, at least.
"Hey thanks. You too, man." Being called 'brother' made him snort.
"You want a smoke in exchange? Don't mind the blood, ain't mine."
The stranger takes the zippo, lights his cigarette, and takes a long drag before sighing out the smoke. The smell of burning chemicals and nicotine is enough to make Lighter's fingers itch for one, a telltale sign that an addiction never really fades in the face of it's source.
With how stressed he's been coming to Spirale. unable to contact the Proxy, the Sons of Calydon, or any of his old friends... Well, he's more than tempted to take the guy up on his offer, but Lighter waves a hand instead.
"Nah, thanks though. I quit."
"Not yours, huh? I'm guessing it's from the guy with his ass beat down the block?" He asks. He'd initially thought the lighter was his, but the guy was running away before the biker could even ask.
@phiore - @rideonredscarf
ROOM THREE: QUEEN'S TALE.
Constantine is the first to pick up one of the stones to inspect. "Looks like some sort of puzzle." There are quite a few pieces. Each one is colored vibrantly. He takes another look at the piece. A woman lies in bed with a golden chalice on the floor. There is a man who stands nearby with two people behind him.
"Damn..." He looks to Phiore and Lighter. "Looks like these puzzles might be telling a story. We just have to do them correctly."
Lighter looks around the long hallway, but there's nothing of note except the painting at the end. It's rather dramatic looking, the woman laying (presumably dead, or wasted) on her bed with some red drink spilled on the floor. Some guys in the background too. Lighter isn't much for puzzles, but he's not dumb either.
"Well I guess it can't be too hard. Even if we mess up there's only a handful of possible combos, so..." He gives a shrug, looking over the pictures. "How hard can it be?"

Isle Improv Night
Drawn in by the laughter, Lighter figured he was due for some kind of break. Stressing about being plucked right from a Hollow and put into some strange city wasn't doing him any good so far, so he might as well get to know the locals. What better place than a big open-air theatre?
Lighter grabs a drink and a seat next to a smart-looking man with glasses. Normally not the type Lighter would try to strike a conversation with, but seats were limited. It seemed they were either at an intermission, or between showings.
"Pardon. This seat taken?"
@falsitiess
There's a glint of light from the ground that catches Lighter's eye as he's walking. When he looks, his heart nearly stops for a second-- its a zippo for sure, and the gold color doesn't register right away as he picks it up. Unfortunately, when he looks as both sides, no words seem to be stamped upon it's shell. Also, it isn't silver-- this isn't his.
He bites back a dejected sigh, looking up and around for anyone who might have dropped it. The prime suspect being a guy a foot taller than him, patting at his pockets with a cigarette dangling between his lips.
"Lookin' for this, brother?" Lighter asks, offering the zippo.
"... Nice shades."
@punishercross
Lighter isn't sure why this small... jester-looking person is so nervous, but she looks terribly stressed by something. Normally he isn't one to pry into people's business, but the stranger looked like a kid in his eyes. While he wasn't the greatest with them, it didn't look like any parent was around to help her.
"Hey, you good?" He asks, and pulls out a lollipop from his pocket.
"Here, have one. You lost your parents or somethin'?"
@jestingforanexit
