didn't know whether to text you this one or send it here, but i really like it this time, so i think id want multiple people to see it :) im sure you'll understand it's meaning, you can always ask me about it though. also if you see my son anywhere in about a week can you like kidnap him for me.

When I look up at the stars,

Shimmering in the night sky,

Sometimes I can see mars,

It reminds me of the constant war that's neverending in my mind, my heart, my soul,

But when my eyes drift up,

They meet venus, the most beautiful planet.

My heart seems to flutter, it skips a beat, and I feel like I'm soaring, touching the stars listening to venus speak to me, without words.

From where i am, venus seems so close,

And yet despite it being so close, it seems to be moving closer.

Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks on me,

Or maybe it's what i wish would happen.

I think i like staring at venus...<3

i know this is a little late for a topic, and i know you didn't have a valentine John and i was too afraid to send you another ask to ask you to be my valentine. and im sorry for that. we've gotten close ever since that poem. ive sent you one through text everyday. have you noticed how intricate they've gotten? how ive mentioned that your freckles are like the stars? how deep, and detailed they get. how i put all my feelings into them. i've never done this before, especially not for any man. i always wrote poems for women, all my life, growing up it was all i did. only one or two ever appreciated them, and then.. then you did. and they never stopped. you loved them, you continue to love them, and it makes me feel warm inside. i know when we met i always said, and came off as a straight man... but to be honest. i think im gay for you John Laurens. I don't know when it started, these feelings, but I know they're there, and I can't hold onto them any longer. i don't know if you feel the same, and it's fine if you don't, i just need to get this off my chest. i know i haven't been around in person for quite some time, you know, with the past stuff.. i plan to return soon. i plan to write you letters of my poems, instead of texts, with my beautiful handwriting, that you seem to like so much. even if you don't feel the same, ill never stop writing you poems—unless you're uncomfortable—because it's my way of saying i love you. as a friend, or more than a friend.
