i promise i’m not trying to start anything, but why is racism suddenly getting popular in the shiftblr community ?? saying poc, specifically black people, don’t have voices in any context is so horrible omg 😭 just because we can shift to anywhere we want as whatever race we want, doesn’t mean you have to say it so disgustingly to the point it sounds borderline racist.
in this reality, people are still racist and racism will unfortunately probably still exist for a lot longer. people of color in this reality are still people of color. just because we can shift to different realities, doesn’t change the fact that in this reality, our race is still apart of our identity which can (and does) unfortunately shape many aspects of our lives.
this post isn’t meant to call anybody out in specific, but i have seen too many posts and anon asks about that, so i just want to state that i’m not comfortable with people who believe this specific ideology about race changing following or interacting with me.
i’m not too sure about race changing as a whole, but i think i’m leaning negatively towards it. just because i don’t think it’s necessarily right, doesn’t effect your view or beliefs about it. i’m trying not to sound too limiting at all, so i’m really sorry if it came off that way !! i’m primarily posting this to state my boundaries, so please respect them 🥹🫶
i said this on tiktok already , but i honestly do believe that people on here are too comfortable being obviously bigoted . wether that be towards poc against race changing , or on a certain page that invites weird commentary on people who dont deserve it . racism , homophobia , ableism && etc are never something i will endorse or allow on my account under any circumstance . if you think that this sort of behavior is okay to have because of shifting / shiftblr discourse , my page is not the place for you .

as a very big capelet enjoyer , obvi a cape / cloak is a must !!! though I'm currently playing around w/ the idea of having a cape for early winter && a coat for when it gets rllie cold but idk !!! if i'm honest i wanna wear a cape all season (ᵕ,,—ᴗ—,,)
beneath the cape , something very girly and frilly is what i naturally gravitate towards . with how thick the capes i wear are , i normally forego wearing long-sleeved shirts beneath so i opt for shorter sleeved shirts so i'm warm but not overheating ꒰ bci also layer beneath the shirt as well ! ꒱ . extra bonus points if it has a peter pan collar (⸝⸝•⩊•⸝⸝)
as much as i'd love to wear shorts && mini skirts yeeeear round , the cold of winter doesn't allow for that (╥ᴗ╥) ꒰ well , unless i layer under them some really thick wool-lined tights LOLL ꒱ . so i normally go for pants and skirts that practically kiss the ground
i rllie carry my love for mary janes everywhere it seems (⇀ˬ↼‶) bc all year , especially during winter , i am always seen in a pair of polished mary janes to go with my uniform
୨୧ ─ summer uniform
as the weather gets warmer when spring melts into summer , i make the switch from heavier capes to organza / chiffon capelets for suuuuuuure
&& bc of the warmer weather , i'd opt for dresses to go w/ the sheer capelets too !! though i occasionally will still wear my usual shirt + skirt combo ꒰ from late spring ꒱ , but more often than not during the summer months i'll be seen in a dress ! i'd wear dresses like the middle and left one above a lot during the season , ones with a more structured silhouette , but occasionally i switch them out for a more flowier dress like the pic on the right (⸝⸝ᵕᴗᵕ⸝⸝)
the second most often worn shoes i wear with my uniform are ballerina flats ꒰ && normally white ones during the summer c: ꒱ ! ! though they only make an appearance around late spring - early fall bc of the warmer weather (ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)

⠀ ₊ ⠀ ݁ ࿐ 𝕺𝐍 𝐎𝐍𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐃𝐀𝐘 , in the woods surrounding the white family’s castle , a mother and her husband had welcomed a healthy baby girl into the fairytale world . their friends and fellow woodland creatures celebrated the birth of the daughter , but deep in the parents’ hearts , they knew what would become of them once their legacy passed on . they knew death awaited the mother sometime in the future because this same tale had played out before . a mother is killed by hunters , leaving a father to mourn and a child to learn the cruelty of the world . time and time again the story repeated , so long as the child signs their name into the storybook of legends . as the daughter grew into a person of her own , making friends with the local children , the mother was left with the bittersweet knowledge that her days with her kin were numbered . . .
⠀ ₊ ⠀ ݁ ࿐ 𝕿𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐋𝐄𝐆𝐀𝐂𝐘 𝐃𝐀𝐘 , emilia doelene had been plauged with thoughts of her future , but more importantly , her fear of it . in her father’s story , the tale of bambi , he had been left to face the trials of life without his mothers affection . and while she adored him dearly , emilia could never imagine a world in which she did not have both her mother and father . while others fairytales , such as her childhood friend apple white , benefited them in a way that gave an actual incentive to sign , emilia’s future guaranteed nothing she desired to have . but what else was she to do but sign the storybook of legends ? there’s no telling what may happen to someone who refuses to accept their destiny , good or bad . the added pressure from apple didn’t help in the slightest either . she knew that her unrealistic expectations came from having a mother who had everything and wanted her daughter to have the same , though it still didnt make the inevitable future easier for emilia to stomach . . .
⠀ ₊ ⠀ ݁ ࿐ 𝕴𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐖𝐄𝐄𝐊𝐒 𝐅𝐎𝐋𝐋𝐎𝐖𝐈𝐍𝐆 , like many other students , raven’s rejection of her “fairytale” weighed heavy on emilia’s mind . was it truly that simple ? that just refusing to sign meant that the future was something every individual could decide ? and if that was the case , would she truly even want that choice ? the autonomy to mess up her life before getting to live it in full ? by the beginnings of spring emilia had decided to deny a story that required murdering her mother and being murdered by her own child further in life . despite apple’s opposition to her choice , emi would have rather lived an uneventful life with the presence of her parents than a predetermined one without them . and if her child chose to continue the fairytale , the blood would no longer be on her hands . her love for apple would not interfere with her desire for a chance to live life how she so pleased , romantic feelings be damned .

i feel like we don't talk about how hard shifting can be for people who are neurodivergent. like in my case, with adhd and possible autism & ocd, i can't just "let go" like all the advice says to. meditating doesn't work because i can't calm down my thoughts. even the "adhd method" doesn't work.
"do what works best for you" what happens when i feel like i don't even know myself because of the spiralling thoughts in my head? i don't know what feels good or right because i've never been able to do that in my entire life
