I received these eyeshadow samples from Sigma Beauty today, and I absolutely loved the Coppery Peach shade called ‘Reveal’ So, I decided to have a play, and I created a cut crease using the darkest shade ‘Eiffel’ to contrast against this beautiful colour! Shame the photo doesn’t do it justice.

Spotlight: Mexico City (Distrito Federal)

Spotlight Since launching, we’ve seen Instagram spread from our headquarters in the Bay Area to every corner of the globe. In this series we highlight Instagrammers from countries and cities with thriving communities.

In 2010, the Greater Mexico City population exceeded 20.1 million people, making the Federal District—known locally as the Distrito Federal or D.F.—the largest metropolitan area in the western hemisphere. The city was originally built by the Aztecs in 1325 atop an island in Lake Texcoco. The lake was drained starting from the 17th century and although none of the water remains, the city rests on the lake bed’s heavily saturated clay.

From the ruins of Teotihuacan to the city’s Plaza de la Constitución, or Zócalo, one of the largest public plazas in the world, there’s no shortage of scenes to capture in Mexico’s capital. To see those sights through the lens of locals, be sure to follow these Instagrammers:
