#one of the reasons i love this adaption#is how perfectly it contrasts the first half of the story with the second#so we follow darcy falling for elizabeth until we get to THAT SCENE in the rain#and then we flip over and watch elizabeth’s feelings for him develop#it’s such a well constructed story - so self aware of the juxtapositions and similarities between darcy and lizzie#that are somehow present at the same time#also THEY GIVE SUCH GOOD FACE#HE’S SUCH AN INTENSE DARCY WHAT THE HELL#how could no one guess he’s wild for her look at his bedroom eyes in that church pew#HE KNOWS SHE’S LOOKING AS WELL BYE#and okay that scene in the dance hall#WHERE THEY’RE SO FIXATED ON EACH OTHER THE WHOLE ROOM JUST FADES AWAY?#I HAVE TROUBLE BREATING IN THAT SCENE I HAVE SEEN THIS MOVIE LIKE 50 TIMES AND IT STILL GETS ME#pride and prejudice 2005: there’s no kissing but there is so much sex
