Whats your favorite fhdw AU that you've made? You've brought up so many (your mind is immaculate <3) so I'm curious to know if you have one you love the most?

This is such a good question, but I had to think about it so long because of how many I have,, LMDM is one of my favorites because of the actual progress it's making and the entire concept. But, I'm also excited for an AU I have no name for other than Captured. Captured follows Seth where, after he was poisoned in the battle at Zzyzx, was taken by a demon into the (previous) Fairy Realm and (future) Demon Realm. So, when the Demon Realm is closed again, Seth is trapped there. It involved me making up a lot of lore about demons and the past of the magical world, and it has Seth meeting some interesting people and going through some development as he is forced to adapt to a new world he doesn't quite understand yet. It's a really exciting concept to me, and I'm hoping I'll get to write a little for it in the future :D

(Honorable mention to Overhaul, a different AU, that has over 279k words written for it which I love but will Never edit or try to fix,,)

been thinking a lot recently about the concept of Kendra getting "overcharged" → as in this very much human girl suddenly getting a whole well of magic flowing inside of her isn't exactly a clean cut process. her body can accommodate for most of the energy yes but things get a little complicated when its nearing maximum capacity. overflows happen.

working off canon logic i think the light that comes out of Kendra is a bit like an overflow. like when she finally finds there's a way to focus her magic it directly correlates to Making Light — so the light that she gives off without noticing could be her body's way of working off the extra, unusable energy. unusable because Kendra herself can't really Use the magic up to like dragonwatch book 5.

anyhow if she started purposely trying to not shine eventually the magic would have to find another way to manifest → that can either como out like a random, violent burst of energy Or a controlled attempt to redirect the magic to something/someone else. that's how the charging would work...may i get a fic of kendra being forced into learning how to use magic to prevent a nuclear blast of accumulated energy by 5 thank youuuuu
