I haven't drawn since March, and really haven't drawn properly since January bc I've been so busy this semester that I kinda struggled a bit with this... but I think it turned out surprisingly well given that I'm a bit rusty atm

I would like to remind everyone that this takes place after the Guild arc, meaning that Kunikida knows by now that Dazai was a Mafia executive. And that doesn't bother him in the slightest.

My opinion on Kunikida is that he's my beloved mess of a man.

I love how at the beginning of the story he was jaded, closed off and thought himself unworthy. He was the scary guy at the Agency, their muscle and the threat in an interrogation. But it all came from a place of hurt, of failure to protect people and fear of it happening again.

He didn't want to take Atsushi under his wing because he didn't want to lose him like he did Rokuzo, but the kid buried his way into his heart regardless. He attempts to save Atsushi from the same pain he went through by telling him "You can't save everyone." and Atsushi runs off to save an unsaveable girl anyways, And Succeeds!

We see him soften and open back up to helping people no matter the cost himself, and we see him suffer for it.

I just, I love him and his character arc very, very much.

I miss his mentorship with Atsushi, I miss his partnership with Dazai, I need Kunikida to come home from the war already
